That quote from Leonard has stuck with me all these years too. Of course what Parcells put those guys through is very different than tough coaching today. It's surprising to me that Belichick lasted as long as he did into this current CBA. I didn't give Brady proper credit for holding things together for as long as did.

Yep. Definitely a different era. The thing that galls me with Brady though is that no other coach would have given him that chance AND stayed with him when his #1 returned for the playoffs.
