if Harbaugh really wants JJ McCarthy and offered Justin Herbert for Pick 6, next years 1st, Daniel Jones (To make Money work), and Dexter Lawerence would I do it.
I don't think I would but that is tempting to be set at QB for the next 10 years.
I think you have to do it. Dexter is one competitive advantage we have over other teams wanting to trade up. Only having to drop down to #6 is the other.
The best way to win on defense is pressure up the middle. Look what Chris Jones did to the Niners. Just as much responsible for the chiefs win as Mahomes in that game.
on a team desperately short of elite talent. Yeah, QB is the most important position, but if they want to make a trade up for a guy they love, trade current and future picks
Let the cap experts speak, but I believe if they trade him, all of his remaining prorated signing bonus accelerates to 2024 as that part of his compensation remains the responsibility of the Giants.
Since '98 (Peyton) there is no other #1 overall pick that made their franchise turn around 180 degrees and even then, it was a 50/50 pick because Leaf was a consideration at the draft also. Luck was on his way but still didn't work out. QB's are very difficult to pick thinking it should be a sure thing.
How many other Ring of Honor players should we trade
The most shocking thing about Sexy Dexy is that he is still actually underrated by many in this league. He will be in the Ring of Honor someday as long as we're not stupid enough to trade him away. There are so many other trade options open to us if we want to move up for a QB.
for a bonafide ‘maybe’ … and are you suggesting the guy who’s going into the draft without an agent? Surely you jest …
Im assuming that they would see the guy they want. I have no strong opinion. I so thibk they need to draft a Qb who is at least quickly projectible, if not a “lottery pick”. any example applies to the Top pick, or oerhaps the 2nd/3rd
If I really, really felt strongly about a QB, yeah I'd make this trade and Dex is by far my favorite player on this team.
If Williams is the next Mahomes, the only player I wouldn't give up for him is Thomas because Williams/Mahomes can't play QB on their backs.
[quote] If you want to trade players to move up, it's probably going to be guys on rookie deals. [/quote
Agreed. The player would probably be KT or Wandale. Still way too much to give up IMHO.
I don't think I would but that is tempting to be set at QB for the next 10 years.
Agreed. But even it was possible with the cap, there is no way I would trade Dexter or Thomas.
OMG!!!!!
OMG!!!!!
If you think draft picks are just "flyers," why do the Giants have so many scouts and personnel people? Why do other teams?
You may want to consider there is some skill and expertise that goes into the process.
OMG!!!!!
For the QB THEY want.. the 1st is worth 3000 "Points" the 6 is worth 1600...so, you're making yourself the winner pf the pick...if THEY want it.
It allows you space to acomodate saquon and bring in talent...or ditch saquon and bring in talent
As for DEex...GREAT Player in his prime. Yes, gettinmg paid but young and tip top. It's a big sacrifice, and it's a realistic way to win a pick
Or maybe they LOVE JJ at 6?..I do if They do
Well I think Caleb Williams is a bust
Thank you

Yeah, i'm not really sure about that, after having like 3 good picks in the first round from the last 10 drafts.
Thank you
Perfectly said. The only 2 young players we have and signed
