Zierlein - ( New Window )

I could understand someone saying “there’s a chance Nabers becomes better than MHJ as a pro” but to say that Nabers is a better pure prospect than MHJ is complete nonsense.
Very very

Surprised Harrison Jr. Isn’t graded as a 7.0. He’s the best WR prospect that has come out in a long time.
Other than MHJ

I'm not the least bit surprised by this.
Excellent draft to trade down in

when I think Bowers is the best prospect in this draft. His video is unbelievable the more I watch it to remind me of his output.

So, I think his ranking at #4 is very solid.
i like zerleins

stuff
This is Lance Zierlein's personal ranking.

While not an official ranking, it is worth noting that some draft analysts consider Nabers to be as promising a prospect as MHJ.
Dane Brugler ranks Nabers as the third-best prospect, just behind MHJ. However, Daniel Jeremiah and Sy are very high on Odunze over Nabers. It is interesting to see how Schoen and Daboll view MHJ, Nabers, and Odunze.
I don't find LZ's numerical ratings to be all that helpful
shyster : 2/22/2024 12:44 am : link
I never notice him taking a real stand against popular opinion.

If one reads his analyses, one can find criticisms of his top rated prospects that turn out to be true.

For example, he gave Isaiah Simmons a very high grade, 7.03, but his profile also specified pretty much all the flaws that has made Simmons ordinary, at best, on the NFL field.

And same is true of his Evan Neal profile, who rated a 6.76.

Shows he pays attention, but not all that helpful for the forward-looking decision: should I draft this guy or not?

I agree. Weird take by Zeirlin.
It won't surprise me if Nabers is the better pro
Manhattan : 2/22/2024 2:31 am : link
I've said it here a few times and gotten a bit of push back. it's not an absurd take at all. Nabers is more explosive and could be the bigger TD maker. They should both be great though. One will be a classic X and the other a dynamic movement Z receiver.
Any draft ranking that estimates
DonQuixote : 2/22/2024 6:46 am : link
the value of a player down to two decimal places is kind of silly. You cen even measure the players’ weight with that precision.
Octal system

Why?

"He's a perfect eight out of eight."

Same was said about Pitts. Taking a TE that high is not something good teams do.
He has a big drop
LS : 2/22/2024 8:53 am : link
off in his ratings after the first 9 players. .18 between the first 9, and then a .2 drop to the 10th player.
Taking a grade of a football prospect to three decimal places is
Heisenberg : 2/22/2024 8:54 am : link
pretty hilarious. He's saying there's a 0.375% difference between Nabers and MHJ. Preposterously accurate measures.

But good for generating clicks, which is his real job.

Should say "three digits" not "three decimal places"
Heisenberg : 2/22/2024 8:55 am : link
Need coffee, but you get the point.

Best thing I’ve heard so far in the pre draft that I kinda agree with and that relates to this. “If Malik Nabers had Brendan Rice’s name, he’d probably be considered better than Harrison Jr., at the very least they’d stop comparing him to Odunze.”
First person I've seen
Biteymax22 : 2/22/2024 9:29 am : link
Who is as high on Verse as I am.

I think he's a full point low on MH Jr.

Agreed 100%. And I really like both.

and where they are actually drafted are likely to be radically different, so interesting but not relevant come April 25th.
