This team isn't getting fixed this offseason, and certainly not in free agency. Big splash signings aren't necessarily what this team needs. They do need very good veterans who come from winning cultures to help show this very young team what it takes to play at a competitive professional level. You can get without blowing it all in the first 2 hours of Day 1.
Well they did just take their DC

It seems. We better have two high level interior offense lineman signed today and not dumpster diving given the dire circumstances sorrounding out interior offensive lineman. We need to protect our future QB regardless of who it is and open lanes for a new running back. Hopefully Joe is making deals as we speak. We cannot be cheap because sans AT the draft has done us zero favors in terms of fixing the OL.
Be careful what you wish for. Bill Polian on his radio show for NFL Radio was saying that when you see stuff immediately it usually A/A- contracts for B players.
In the past the giants were ridiculed for letting everyone know what they were doing, happy to see them a little quiet, and willing to allow the market to come to them, it's not like they have unlimited funds.

I think we have some solid FA interior lineman available, we cannot be cheap when it comes to this. We need to fix a problem 15 years and counting that hasn’t been fixed.

Everyone agrees it should be fixed.
You won't know if it's fixed until 8-10 months from now no matter what they do today.

Letting the market come to them can be the difference between signing a top tier guy or signing another replica of the ineptitude we currently have on the roster. I for one am done with some of the inferior talent we have on the interior both starting and depth. Most of our starters would be back ups on most teams
for Gabe Davis... way to much... He is basically Darius Slayton who we are paying 6 mil a year.
One year ago most contracts look like a bargain. Always was the case and always will be the case.

The #Rams have agreed to terms with G Jonah Jackson on a three-year, $51 million deal with $34 million guaranteed, sources say.
A big payday for Jackson, who will join the recently re-signed Kevin Dotson as L.A. pours big money into the middle of their offensive line.

Ugh…that’s ALOT of money for a middle of the road guard. Interesting that they are spending ~33M a year on guards.

Damn. I wanted him, but that's a huge chunk of change. I thought he'd come in below that.

I much rather prefer going higher and paying a better guard with Onwenu or Hunt. Jackson seems ok but nothing special.

So given what we've experienced in the middle of the line, is there really too much to pay for the right players...especially along the Offensive Line? As has been shared today, GMs have so much flexibility in dealing with the cap...for me it is all about getting the right players. If you have to pay "a little more" I'm good with it so long as they can play. The economical, team friendly signings we've made along the line simply have not worked.

Hey, I think this is interesting. Every OL position should be considered a premium position at this point...
Not a bad idea at all for a one-year opportunity...
Guy can run and be a serious threat in the passing game.
Independent of Onwenu, I bet they sign Ridley
God, I wish we could develop what we have!!!!!
Dorrance Armstrong 3 yrs $45 million
Commanders like those Cowboy FA’s.
They are replacing Aj Dillon?

The Commanders have a TON of money to spend. So not surprising to see them jump out. Now let's hope they don't spend that money wisely... I'm not sure they are yet with these signings.
We just need to sign one and then draft one in the second
Minnesota has been linked to McCarthy. Best case scenario for Giants is the Vikings trade up with AZ/LAC. That means they have a chance at MHJ, and if not him they get the pick of their next guy between Nabers/Odunze.
