Guards, all signs point to Eluemunor playing RT and Neal becoming the swing tackle while learning to play guard. They certainly didn’t pay Eluemunor to be the swing tackle.
If Runyon plays one guard spot, there will be at least 4 players competing to be the other starting guard.
I’m with you Bill, need to see improvement with my own eyes.
In terms of the OP’s comment, this doesn’t mean Neal isn’t going to be the starting RT. With the huge demand on offensive lineman league wide the prices they paid for both day 1 FA signings are not excessive.
I am not sure it eliminates anyone.....I assume the Raider RT/RG and Runyon LG will start.....but all of them, sans Thomas.....must compete.
JMS and Neal probably will end up with the remaining open positions....but not a given.
I actually hope they sign one of the tackles that have not been sign.....to even compete for the swing tackle spot....with Thomas ankles....its important to have dependable back-ups.
The start of last season, OL was so unprepared....and injured.....it took 6/7 weeks to regroup. That can not and it seems....the Giants will do whatever is needed to fix the OL.
My dream come true!!!!
Your comment about cement feet had me wondering so I looked at his combine results and was blown away by his numbers. His numbers were zero as he didn’t work out. I can’t believe we drafted him so high without having the benefit of knowing his agility/short area quickness etc

As far as Neal I think they still want to see him play RT but first they need to chisel the cement off his feet.

Oh,but there's video of him jumping out of a swimming pool somewhere.
Schlottman is the back-up center.
Stinnie is not a given to make the team. He, Ezeudu, and McKethan will fight for two spots.

That leaves 1 more slot(#9) for another Tackle right? Like maybe Phillips?
It will be interesting to see if they re-sign either Phillips (coming off a serious injury) or Peart. They may simply want to add another cheap veteran or draft someone.
They have four tackles under contract. They need two bodies there.
Im over Mckeathan and Ezuedu getting reps at T. Cant be sure where Philips is health wise. Peart can be brought in for Camp but with no comitment or guarenteed money.
