If we go QB at 6 ย
Tim in Eternal Blue : 3/22/2024 11:31 am : link

providing we don't move up and give up 47 in the process, I hope Legette is firmly on the radar in the 2nd round to pair with our new QB1

is elite!

His tape from this year is extremely impressive. His age and lack of production pre-2023 is certainly a concern, but absolutely worth a second round pick.,
If we keep pick 47 and get our QB in round 1 ย
Rjanyg : 3/22/2024 11:33 am : link
I would love a good WR
I was checking out some Rattler footage ย
Rory B. Bellows : 3/22/2024 11:38 am : link
and Legette jumps off the screen. wow

Rattler, not too shabby for later rounds I guess (IDK).
Much better sounding interview than DJ (ducks) haha

draft option #37
1- Top Defender
2- Legette
3- Rattler
Biggest concern is heโ€™s a 1 year wonder ย
90.Cal : 3/22/2024 11:41 am : link
But I love the player and would be thrilled if he was A) available at 47 and B) Joe Schoen pulled the trigger and took him at 47. I think he has potential to be a AJ Brown/DK Metcalf type of WR.
100% agree with this ย
Jint Fan in Buc Land : 3/22/2024 11:43 am : link
He really looks like a young AJ Brown to me

PS if you haven't heard him talk yet please do
Great Post! ย
ZogZerg : 3/22/2024 11:47 am : link
Never heard of him. This is great info.
I love Leggette at 47. ย

Seen plenty of Gamecock games. ย
charlito : 3/22/2024 12:08 pm : link
He's legit. He's the 4th best WR in the draft.

I've been saying that. Odunze at 6, then Rattler in the 2nd.
It always terrifies me when ย
Shecky : 3/22/2024 12:10 pm : link
an ELITE athlete can't dominate their competeition.
Scares me more when they are abrely even good until they are much older than their competition.

But his athleticism is drool worthy. Asked a friend who knows way more than I ever would about him after his name popped on te radar. He laughed and just said he will eatin alive in th NFL.
I asked how and why, and he said his athleticism is literally all he has, and he's a dime a dozen at the next level - but wihtout the skills.

Hopefully those that have atually seen him play can share their thoughts. Because on paper - WOW!!!
He was very impressive ย
Dave on the UWS : 3/22/2024 12:19 pm : link
at the senior bowl with his route running so NO, I don't think athleticism is all he has. More of a late bloomer.
At 47? Firmly on the radar (if no WR taken at 6).

He was a HS QB so he had to change positions in college, lost his parents, COVID, coaching change, behind upperclassman WRs, etc so Iโ€™m not worried about his lack of production early in his career
Would be very happy with him ย

If we got ย
SoZKillA : 3/22/2024 1:36 pm : link
QB at 6 or a trade down and take Nix or Penix, we NEED to pair him with the potential of a # 1 WR. Not a speedy guy like Hyatt or a smaller slot WR like Wandale. We need a guy who can be a #1 who has size and can go up and get the ball and make contested catches.

We had the chance at DK, Brown, Deebo after taking Jones and the dope of a GM took a corner who was gone in a year.

Rattler is such a hard evaluation. He reminds me of Chad Kelly. Everyone could see Kelly had the TALENT. He was just a head case no one could pin down (similar to Stetson Bennett last season who was away from LA for personal reasons.)

Itโ€™s not a question. Of talent with Rattler. Itโ€™s all about the mental.

Rattler was on the QB1 show about HS QBs and in that he was one of the most pompous asses I ever seen in all my years of watching/playing/coaching the sport. I really hope he grew up from that and matured.
To me ย

Yes big no on Rattler in any round unless it's rd 6-7.
I doubt ย

Leggette makes it to #47.
The QBs, OL, DE/ER like make the first 40 picks with a few other positions thrown into that count. Then the WR will be the early choices.
But it would be nice though.
