"It’s ridiculous, and it’s a continuing source of frustration for me,” Mara said of the line’s struggles. “It’s time to get it fixed. We’ve invested in a couple of No. 1 draft picks on offensive tackles. We have a (second-round) draft pick playing at center. And now we have spent some money in free agency. We have a new offensive line coach. I expect us to be a hell of a lot better this year."

Two days ago and every offseason for a decade. I mean, that quote about the draft picks and FA money...you could plug that quote into any year since 2012.
Let's hope it improves this year.
nowhere to go but up
Solid assessment of the situation with one caveat at RT I think we have seen enough of Evan Neal to understand this guy is hopeless the time to move on has come and gone.
But don't worry - they are both millionaires .

I had a bad feeling about 2021, which intensified when the Giants didn't draft anybody and all the backups retired.
I mean a receiver is a luxury if your line is no good. Schoen better be careful that the line is fixed. I still feel the line is subpar even with who we brought in. It will be improved but I don't see a top ten line.
At this point you look for any common denominators like scouting, or anybody in the front office who has spanned all 3 regimes. Hmm ....

The OL issues has now stretched from Reese to DG to Joe. It is so odd. I don't know what the fuck the problem is, but it needs to be solved.

We’ve gone through OL coaches like tissue paper too.
It’s mind numbing…yes, there are OL problems and a talent shortage all over the league, but many teams get by with middling talent that becomes a serviceable OL
I do think all the new limits on offseason/preseason practice time and hitting is a factor…but that doesn’t explain why the Giants have consistently sucked worse than most other teams for a decade
Pretty amazing considering when George Young took over he made having strong fronts the foundation of Giants football.
When this issue started really showing a decade ago the solution was to start firing coaches and promote front office members...brilliant.
I don't expect to be playing in the NFCCG until those fronts are restored to past Giants standards. Regardless of QB.
