He can't undue the two previous ACL surgeries on the same right knee. A third ACL injury and he'll have significant bone loss. Too risky along with his age.
And his pocket movement is good, unlike some odd things I've seen to the contrary.
He cannot be the choice, way too many red flags. Any argument beyond that is biased thinking. He is not what the Giants need at QB - injury history, struggles under pressure and not great on short and intermediary throws.
If w have a lefty qb and everyone uses that premise to opine on whether they should draft the player.
That’s not relevant - the question raised is whether they move Thomas to the blindside of a lefty qb, and I frankly find it an interesting one. I don’t know enough to opine on whether that’s an easy switch or not, or whether it’s something that they would consider.
I would wager Penix being drafted by the Giants does not result

is protecting his blind side. I mean, who was our LT when we drafted Jones? We’re people then crying about who was going to protect his blind side? Draft the QB you like best, and if his blind side protector isn’t good enough, get one who is.
This isn’t rocket science.
I happen to really like Penix in terms of his ability to throw
I think he might actually have the highest ceiling among ALL the QBs. But, I think he also has the lowest floor, which is a big deal. I say this for 2 reasons. One, is the obvious injury history. The 2 ACLs are one thing. He's also had 2 shoulder injuries and that is the most delicate joint to deal with. I think with him, it is a matter of when, not if, another injury is a major factor.
The second reason is his ability to handle pressure. He faced almost no pressure at Washington. He stood behind a very good OL facing mediocre defenses. This not only gives us little insight into his handling the pressure and managing the pocket, but it also makes it difficult to gauge how well he actually can actually make his reads. It is very different to go through progressions when you have all day.
As talented as I think he is, I just wouldn't draft him. I know I have included him/Nix as a 2nd round option if the other 4 guys are off the board by 6. But, that is only because I have no clue how the Giants feel about him.
This.

He might not be on our draft board.
This.
Agreed.
Hasn't missed time. And played at a high level.

The Giants have had Andrew Thomas protecting Daniel Jones's blind side 4 out of 5 years. How's that worked out?

If you are Penix though that could be bad news.
