Cabrera said this in a recent interview for an Athletic article, and it hit me it’s no doubt a meaningful thing in the clubhouse - Soto being not only a stud and team leader, but comfortably bilingual in Spanish and English is a big deal for the young Spanish speaking Latin players on the team. Kinda bridges a gap for guys not yet be fully fluent in English

Looking at the weather, and what the Mets are already dealing with (already one postponement, with more likely on the way this week), we could have have had a bunch of doubleheaders already on the future slate. For a team that where the pen is typically an advantage in a series, those stacked games would have mitigated their usage a bit.
