Dak free agent next year

Why would you expect him to win here??

He doesn't play well in big games. No guarantee we could get him. He might want to go to NE or another team that is better setup than us.

Drafting a rookie QB is more cost-efficient unless you think he is the missing piece to launch us to the Super Bowl. I don't!

Well, he doesn't shine when the spotlight is the brightest. But-good thing for him-is that we play 'big games' like once every decade.

They are already doing this with Lance.

Dallas doesn't play their starters in the preseason. Expect to see Lance get the majority of snaps in the preseason games.

Since Dallas did nothing in free agency they will not use ANY draft pick on QB.

2025 will be a very interesting year for Dallas.

Of the Giants get a WR1 in this draft and fix the OL, I think they could contend with Prescott if they’re able to put together a strong defense.

Dallas had some bad playoff games but Prescott had a really strong year last year and they won 12 games.

He would cost more than 15% - his market value now on the low end is probably 25%, and will likely be more in less than 12 month. And you’d need to sign him for 4/5 years. Don’t know why we’d do this, just draft anyone next year, throw a dart if you have to.

this would be awful. He is a good QB who looks much better by being surrounded by excellent talent. I would happily take him at 4 years/$100MM. I think he gets at least twice that, which will be a huge overpay.

Dak Prescott??... Really??

Not because of the prohibitive cost.
He cannot be traded either as that is also written in his contract.
Dak has all the leverage this time in negotiations with Jerrah as payback for being tagged twice.
Dak and his agent will be looking for a contract with a AAV over $55million.
BTW, comments about Lance this past season as a Cowboy are almost non existent.
Their are some rumors down here the Cowboys would like to add him into a draft day trade.
Cooper Rush is also in his last contract year.
To say the Cowboys would not use a late round pick on a developmental QB is not correct.
