In this simulation, quarterbacks Caleb Williams, Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels were off the board, as were wide receivers Malik Nabers and Marvin Harrison Jr. That left the Giants to choose from Joe Alt — the best left tackle prospect in this draft — as well as tight end Brock Bowers and quarterback J.J. McCarthy. This seems too high for McCarthy.

The question is does Penix last that long
I just do not believe Penix makes it that far.
Agree it would be a surprise to last to 47. The easily worth it remark...not so sure.
If you like him you take him at 6. The question has always been his health. I'd say that question has been satisfied based on how he's moving. His arm is incredible. I'm fine with him at 6.
1) We stick @ six & don't take a QB because Joe/Dabs don't think any remaining warrant going 6.
2) We trade up & take a QB.
3) We take a WR at six & then trade back into the first for a QB.
While I'm not the biggest Joe fan-he's been alright IMO-I do respect that he's not afraid to wheel & deal.
"Michael Penix Jr. is a QB prospect in the 2024 draft class. He scored a 9.71 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 28 out of 947 QB from 1987 to 2024."

He’s the guy I want in blue.
Just my opinion and many will jump all over me….but I think he will end up being the best QB in this draft class. Arm talent is undeniable, athleticism is underrated, and he is a gamer IMO. Hope one way or another he is our pick, but I’m guessing Schoen/Daboll prefer Maye, Daniels, or McCarthy. Of those three, I prefer Daniels.
Anthony Richardson got a full 10.00 last year.

I can't get the college football championship out of my head with him.

I think that score serves to do is show that Penix:s knee injuries don't seem to be hampering him physically.

Can't let 1 game steer everything.

Well a QBs vertical jump and broad jump are so integral with playing the position. Eli's broad jump must have been out of this world.

Did anyone have Levis, a better prospect IMO, lasting till 33 last year? Anything can happen, especially with the MAJOR medical red flags that Penix has

I’m so sick of seeing this take with pennix. First of all, it’s one game. Second of all, duude…how many times did he hit receivers in the hands that dropped balls killing drives? What about the deep ball Odunze just last in space? Give me a break here.

And to add to this, go watch a bunch of games from Maye and Williams that were horrid too…..
Inclined to agree.
So why not just flip it (Penix + WR) and make it a reality? I don't understand why Odunze + Penix is an amazing fantasy but Penix + Legette/Mcconkey/Polk would be an unbearable reality. This is a really deep WR class, and the second round has a ton of quality at the position.

I actually agree with you. I don't really care for Penix and I hate his injury history but if they TRULY like Penix they are better off just taking him at 6. I don't see them getting him this late. Actually that goes for any of the 6 QBs being talked about at length this year, IMO. If they REALLY like one of these guys, just take them at 6 (or go get them with a trade up).
