Parris Campbell signed a VSB contract with the Eagles: 1 year, $1.3M with $417K guaranteed. He signed a 1 year, $4.7M contract with $2.9M guaranteed with the Giants last season. Had just 20 catches for 104 yards last season.
...signing Campbell gave the Giants a viable alternative in the slot. But Campbell got off to a terrible start, Robinson came back on schedule, and the whole offense went to sh!t apart from one half against Arizona. Campbell was part of the collapse, but only a small part.
A qualifying deal probably what he's worth after his 2023 season, but I can imagine him over-performing if he gets opportunities and avoids injuries.
Miss this was. Almost unfathomable in today's nfl to have 20 receptions and just 104 yards. Wow
Two (2) first downs on those 20 receptions.
One of those came from Tyrod Taylor in the Miami game.
The only first down that Daniel Jones completed to Campbell was the last pass he threw before the ACL in the Vegas game. Five yard completion on third-and-5.
travesty that the Eagles signed him so cheap compared to us. Just our luck he does well with them
Philly will probably look hard at WR with one of their early picks (22, 50, and 53). As the roster stands, Campbell and DeVante Parker are the main options behind Brown and Smith. Parker looked done in New England last year, though it was hard to assess anyone in that offense. If Campbell is going to revive his career, he picked a good place to do it.
Meh. It was a cheap gamble.
Kenny Golladay on the other hand...

Just when they were on a roll!
I think the overall offensive ineptitude may have played into that not that it matters.
I gotta admit I forgot he was on the team at points last season.

He probably won't make their roster. Never know.
For a guy who ran a 4.3, he's kind of slow.
Sliding in at #246 on the NYG all-time receiving yard list.
One spot behind Colin Johnson and one ahead of Len Barnum the *checks notes*... punter for the 1938-40 squads. Hah!
