Because i want these guys in the FO be the long term solution here, but entering year 3, Schoen needs to be MUCH better than what he’s shown here in years 1 and 2. This roster is still one of the very worst in the league and figures to continue to be in 2024.
I know PFF and others try to make a team sport turn into
projected to play, really, at all last year but had to. Sucks to see JMS grade so poorly. And Hyatt only having 23 rec? That boggles the mind. Either he can't be coached or was coached so poorly... What a disappointment. I could use a medium Pepsi right about now..
To look good in football when the team around the player is really bad. More so than any other sport football truly is a TEAM sport. Hyatt looked average because his QBs were sacked 85 times. JMS looked average because the players he played with as a rookie didn’t deserve to be on the field. Jones will have a much better year this year if the o line can hold up which will translate into Hyatt looking much better.
use a fast receiver to go vertical, occupy the safety and clear space underneath for slot or crosser. That's the role Marcus Johnson had in 2022, that's the role Hyatt had, much of the time in 2024. Not many plays are designed to go to the deep receiver. The ball can go there but that takes more time to throw. Time we couldn't provide.
From what I've seen of Gray, I'm not hopeful he will be.
True - but Banks showed more ability than effectiveness and JMS was not good.
JMS was up & down.
I liked Jalin, but he needs a QB who is willing to work with him what he does best: cook downfield.
Banks was fine.
JMS started well, got hurt and the got Bobby Johnsoned...
Hyatt had no one to throw consistently to him deep
