NFT: Fritz Peterson, New York Yankees Pitching Legend Dies At 82

Fritz Peterson, who was a left-handed starting pitcher for the New York Yankees from 1966 to 1973, has reportedly died at the age of 82. No cause of death was immediately revealed.

He and Mel Stottlemyer were terrific pitchers just born in the wrong Yankee era.
I’m still not sure who won the trade with Mike Kekich.

If memory serves one of them split with the new wife acquired via wife swap pretty quickly (Kekich?)

Fritz and Kekich ex married and are still married to this day. Kekich and Fritz ex split up pretty quickly accoridn to the NY Post story

Really was never that good. Had some fair to good years with bad Yankee teams. His trade with Kekich was a major success for him.
Legend? Whitey Ford, Catfish Hunter, Mariano Rivera. These were just three of real Yankee legends.
