Caleb Williams 'controls the football when he throws it'. His greatest strength is his ability to handle an active pocket. Williams is #1 on his list. Williams makes special plays, but that's not enough to be great.
Daniels and Maye are very different players, so they're hard to compare.
Daniels is a very explosive athlete, but he's a refined passer as well who can work from the pocket. There's a calmness and poise in his game and he will continue to grow. He doesn't have a lot of anticipation throws.
Maye needs to clean up inconsistent ball placement. He's a better athlete than people think.

I like him, but he needs to stop taking bad hits when scrambling or he’ll have a short career. Some of that can be fixed with coaching, but some is instinctual and may take time to get away from.
If Daniels is there, do the Giants take him? Over Nabers? Over Odunze?
I have no idea what they’d do in that situation. I think the mocks that have them taking an OT at 6 are lazy and dumb, but I can’t read the tea leaves.

But I don’t think there is any real possibility of that. Just so many ways he can beat you. With the right coaching he can be special.

BBB did a rundown on his tape and they're mixed on him, too. He had a tendency to continue scrambling rather than keeping his eyes downfield. He also had a large number of scrambles in comparison to other QB's in the nation.
Me too, but even if DC passes on him, I don’t see the Pats doing the same. That’s why, if NE was to trade the pick, it won’t happen until after DC picks.

Agree, but if DC does not take him, I would be completely fine giving up whatever was necessary to get to #3 if the Pats were open for business. If the Pats take a QB, I am hoping they like McCarthy and let Maye fall to #4.
