Really changed the whole game on the defensive end vs Embiid and protecting the rim. Also 7 offensive rebounds and put backs when we were struggling was huge. Plus those 2 fts put the game away
He’s too quick even for plus defenders like Deuce and Hart. Maxey is such a superb scorer. Is he the quickest player in the NBA not named De’Aaron Fox?
Incredible that Kentucky had both Maxey and Quickley in their backcourt. Both play such similar games.

Also, I generally like Hartenstein better but Mitch clearly matches up better against Embiid. Knicks get the win without their best effort.
Mitch should have reminded you tonight that he is a far superior player to IHart when he’s healthy. IHart is a nice player but Mitch is a game changer when he’s on his game
The Sixers are a damn good team. That’s why every other team in the race for the two seed was too petrified to play them so they laid down like dogs to avoid them. The Knicks don’t give a damn who they play and I love it

All 4 quarters were like different ball games. We can't count on Hart hitting back to back 3's and for Deuce to do what he did offensively, however you have to think Brunson and DD shoot much better. Also the Knicks shot under 40 for the game but strangely enough were a solid 16-35 from 3 but 20 of 56 from 2. Add in we were an insane +22 on the boards including 23-9 on the offensive glass. Overall a win is a win and you move on but little can be gleaned from this offensive performance going forward. Philly is are what they are. They top out around 110. Embiid got his but he's gonna have peeks and valleys due to his health and conditioning. Maxey when he gets downhill he's impossible to stop but he's on and off from 3. Lowry will probably be a key.

Everyone was screaming about it but the method to his madness was making sure Deuce and Mitch could play the whole 4th. That's when the game was decided. He brings Mitch in 6 minutes into the 3rd no way that would have been possible. Guys Thibs knows what he is doing. I think he's earned that over the past 4 seasons.
It's nice to win a game without Brunson scoring 45 points, but those
nights will be infrequent when opposing defenses are geared towards stopping him. Can't be counting on Hart to hit four 3's a game. So who's gonna score?

Embiid definitely tweaked his knee, I wonder if they will image him before Game 2. Not gonna lie, I was shocked he came out for the 3rd, thought it was going to be a Willis moment.

I think his knee was bothering him most of the 2nd half. Still tough to play against, but wasn’t moving nearly as much as early on
Embiid couldn't jump in the second half. All his jump shots were short. Gotta sag off him next game until he shows he can jump

Hell, they let him drive early in the second half without sending him to the line with contact. They have to be more aggressive all around with him.
He’s amazing. Until this year, the dude was a black hole on offense, IMO. Now he’s one of our best shooters.

Team needs that confidence and Brunson can settle down and know he doesn't need to score 45 to win .
Have to give it to Kelly Oubre and Kyle Lowry. They played amazing defense tonight.
But Mitch, Deuce and Hart were better. And Bogey too.
