Unless we are in a bidding war, which I think is highly unlikely. They would have have to be thoroughly convinced that whichever qb is left is a sure thing.
I think Odunze and McCarthy will both be available at 6 when we’re on the clock, and I have no idea who they’ll take
I learned a long time ago to pay attention to asshat reports, but not to take them as gospel.

I know and I appreciate the reminder. I say this halfway hoping they aren't right about JJM because if we got him at 6 A. I think he would become a franchise QB B. I would love the Daniel Jones level hysteria that would ensue here with all those who loath JJM. I think the best is yet to come for him and if he can be had for pick 6 or maybe a bit more (2025 2nd and 3rd tops for me), then I think we will regret not making that move. Either way, I am really looking forward to seeing how all 6 of these QBs do in the NFL.
He said the fans were. I don’t think he knows any more than any of us.
They are done with Jones. Schoen didn't even push back at all on the barrage of questions about taking a QB. He can't really because everyone knows they are trying to get a new QB.
You do realize that the odds are the Patriots take Maye at 3?
It's not far fetched to think the Pats like JJM more and could have a deal in place with AZ to move up and get their guy + our 2025 1st. Say we trade pick 6, 70 2025 1st and 2nd for Maye and they then flip pick 6 2025 2nd and 3rd for pick 4 (because AZ likes MHJ and Nabers both as elite wr prospects, maybe they even like Nabers more as I think he would fit better with Murray). Then NE would get their guy in JJM plus pick 70 and our 2025 1st for the cost of just a 2025 3rd and their pick 3. That's really not a far fetched scenario at all. Many legit pundits and scouts like JJM more than Maye including our very own Sy. AZ not wanting to trade down further than 6 is very realistic too.
I believe if we do pay the king's ransom for Maye, this is how it would go down.

I go back to what EA gave up to trade for Eli.
Giants get Manning ( 1st overall )
Chargers get Rivers ( 4th overall ), 2004 3rd, 2005 1st, 2005 5th.
That was the cost to move 4 places.
If NYG wants Maye, which would be the 3rd QB and also 3rd player drafted,
It will take 6, 70, 2025 1st and 2025 4th.
If NYG wants JJM at 4, it will probably cost 6, 70 and 2025 2nd round pick.
It will be a wild night on Thursday. Do the Vikings, Broncos or Raiders jump us?
I think everything he said was on the money. I don’t want to see any more of Jones in a giants uniform. He will never be an elite qb and he will never take us to a superbowl. This is year 6 for Christ sake. Lick your wounds and move on. The amount of leash this guy has gotten for a mediocre season at best that ended in a lucky playoff win is borderline insanity.
That suggests the backup quarterbacks outplayed Daniel Jones without the mention of injuries or matchups.
I think Rich is out of touch
You have a point. DeVito had to play and beat a playoff team like Green Bay and TT had to play a playoff team like Buffalo in Buffalo and nearly beat them or deliver our first win in years over the Eagles.
While Jones could only beat the lowly Cardinals without Murray or get destroyed 40-0 by Dallas or 24-3 by Seattle or 30-12 by SF or 36-13 by Miami.
TT & DeVito didnt get to start the season fresh out of training camp with everyone healthy but instead had to deal with a piecemeal OL with guys picked up off the couch like Pugh or off other teams like Phillips plus missing guys like Schmitz or Waller for some games
RE: My guess is it's Nabers or Odunze at 6, unless the Patriots take JJM
Eisen has even less draft prediction accuracy than Mel Kiper.
You are my spirit animal Rich.
Rich has us possibly moving up to 4 and taking JJM. And as he says and I’ve said…if JJM is a stud, no one will GAF what we traded to get him.
Thanks!
We would be picking 5th...
thank you Brett 2.0.
It's tradeup for Maye, WR at 6 or trade down according to asshats and insider reports. Sorry Eisen, JJ is most likely not coming to NY.

Maye the force be with us. Maye be we do and Maye be we absolutely do!

My god. Some of you not only just don’t pay attention you live on a planet called Denial.
Maye be, but for now I am sticking with it. I think we move up and Pats look elsewhere..
That may be true Eric, but I've seen many many drafts, as I bet you have, where the oddsmakers were WAY off on a lot of the top picks, not just #1.
Hell the Saints picked George Rogers #1 over LT.

It's notable that the argument can be credibly made. Daniel Jones' performance couldn't dust Tommy DeVito, and that says it all.

Parcells said you are what your record says you are. DJ's numbers as QB tells the story. Or as wrestler Spencer Lee said, excuses are for wusses.

I still see Pats staying at 3 with Maye. If JJ goes to pick 4 with AZ, then there's a chance MHjr makes it past LA, if not it's Nabers at pick 6.
He doesn't know anything, but he has a microphone just like all the other talking heads so people will consider his thoughts to be worthwhile.
