I am sure NYR fans and NYI fans probably have game threads, but this thread for all hockey discussion. Including the playoffs, the U18s, World Championships, awards, predictions and draft lottery. Playoffs start Saturday with all series beginning either Saturday, Sunday or Monday. Most series are every other day with an occasional 2nd day for travel or other reasons. Schedule in link.

Man, I hope you're right. But that team is scary.
And the end of the game in EDM should get Soucy 2 games IMO. 1 playoff game generally = 5 regular season games.
You have a team with Evander Kane, Corey Perry, Vincent Desharnais and even Cody Ceci and your star player gets hit like that, those are the guys I'm taking it out on if I'm the coach.

Nemec with a goal and the primary assist on the GWG for the Slovaks. Of course my dream was the 2 of them doing them in May games for the Devils but alas here we are...

I agree and they're so deep. they are like Florida with their forward depth. Seguin and Duchene are on the 3rd line. I know both of those guys are past their prime, but that's some talent on the 3rd line that can provide secondary scoring. That's huge in the playoffs.
I do think they are short on blue line depth though and their 3rd pair is not strong.

EDM vs VAN @ 9:30. VAN leads 2-1. No Soucy tonight for VAN due to suspension for the McDavid cross check. Ex-Hab Noah Juulsen activated in Soucy's spot. Always liked Juulsen - was injured early and his career stagnated. Good to see him still hanging on in the league.
Had Austria pulled off the upset it would have been the largest comeback in tournament history.

Seems like the Bruins can't match FLA's speed though. It's like they're always a step behind getting to the puck.
Also what's with all the too many men on the ice penalties? They got their 6th of the post-season tonight.
