This is just twitter speculation but there's some logic behind it, Pierce was inherited into the Ryans/Slowek (shanahan) system and clearly didn't fit. These are the types of guys who sometimes get dealt after the draft or during the draft for a 2025 pick when a team misses out on their targets or ends up picking other positions.
interesting for the giants because they are a team RB shopping who liked pierce in 2022 (believe he was a top 30 visit). also a bunch of needs so it's possible they use their 4 picks in the top 150 for other spots (or trade 1 of them).
ironic because he shared the backfield with singletary last year.

Not sure if Texans would be willing to part ways with Dameon Pierce but every non-wide zone team in league should be inquiring about possible trade.
Proven starter-level runner and true juice guy in locker room.
If Pierce were in this year's RB class he might be the best one.

One RB that I wish the #Cowboys would acquire via a late-round pick is #Texans RB Dameon Pierce.
He was incredible as a rookie and is only 24. Would be a massive upgrade over everyone else on the roster right now. |
on day 3 if they nyg havent added an interesting RB prospect behind singletary, i do a 2025 5th or 6th for pierce. he is more interesting than the rashaad penny/boston scott types on the FA market.

much closer....if it was unexpected.
thought about it but they may have the best WR room in the nfl with Collins, Diggs, Dell, plus Metchie and a few others.
i think the value of the 2 players is similar but i dont think they would want to add salary with slayton since they dont have targets for him.
