I’ve read elsewhere Jackman is not replacing Ferrell but joining him, playing…..Joe Montana. Basic plot is the rivalry between Madden and Montana in competing NFL video games. I won’t give away who wins.
Tom Hanks reportedly playing Al Davis.

Would have been perfect to play John Madden, IMO. Maybe Jonah Hill if you want more of the younger / Raider years.

felt like John Candy would have made the perfect Madden.
too bad both are dead. Maybe AI can pull this off. Although now that I think about it if they use AI why not just have Madden play himself.
