Reading this now. Same author as The Road.
If you liked Mitchner's Centennial you'll love Blood Meridian.
McCarthy writes the way I think God sounds when he speaks.
Sometimes I feel that McCarthy should get the title that was given to Hemingway-greatest American writer (I just finished The Sun Also Rises, BTW, it was fine).
Recommend a book similar to Blood Meridian thanks.
I'm glad I read it and I suspect you will be too. It's a fantastic book that will stick with me for a long time.
I had the same issue the first couple of times I tried to read it. Finally finished it a few years ago and it was worth it.
Not as good as The Road, but still a very good book nonetheless.
Or perhaps better stated, that’s how disturbing human behavior is, because McCarthy nails it.
