I'm pretty sure the user name database was hacked around that time, or something to that effect. Everyone had to register again. At least that's what I remember.
and after expressing a football opinion the poster would say something about eating a pile of cheeseburgers or some such. It was stupid but I laughed anyway whenever I saw it.
BBI was best read on the original papyrus scrolls though.

Login feature was introduced in 2001, NOT in 2005. But existing posters still had to register to post.
It's possible that Fast Eddie (and others) posted prior to the 2001 registration date, but didn't register until some time after 2001.
Latter 90s for me when I was watching games at 7 a.m. from Oahu.
It was wild west back then but more civilized. If the old forum format was around now... forget about it.

Thanks for the correction, Jim. I just checked my ID and it indeed shows 2001 as the date.
I was here from the start, including when it originated as the Big Blue Home Page. That was probably in the mid-90s.
Funny thing is, I'm still not old.
