The Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders have shown no desire to trade out of their respective spots atop the 2024 NFL Draft. It seems increasingly likely that the owners of the third overall pick will also stay put.
The New England Patriots have yet to receive a “serious offer” for the No. 3 selection, according to a report by MassLive’s Mark Daniels and Karen Guregian. With only two days to go until the event, there are questions whether one will ever come.

No serious offer = Let's increase those offers, then we'll talk.
It actually is still early, but with all these conflicting reports, nothing would surprise me at this point, except staying at #6 and taking Alt.
If you are negotiating in good faith with someone, you say nothing. You don't say "we haven't gotten anything serious." It dismisses everything you heard from the other side of the table.

Unless they are trying to signal other that teams haven't submitted offers that it's not too late to bid, we are still open for business.
Pepsi anyone.

It could be to call out teams that have made low ball offers trying to take advantage of a new Front office.
. New England would move for the right offer, but the Pats just haven't gotten such an offer yet.

I would think it would be more likely to generate interest if you leaked that you were having productive talks. It would heighten the urgency for another team to get in before a deal was finalized. If nothing is close, why not wait another day or two?
Yup.

Pepsi anyone.
I don't want to trade that large Pepsi. That's a deal breaker. I'd rather trade our #1 this year, next year, and in 2026.
It’s clear there is mutual interest near, New England is trying to squeeze as much as possible out of Schoen.
Don't all negotiations start with a low first offer, then scale up?
So NE can go fuck themselves and take JJM at 3 and we can trade up with Arizona and get Maye. Arizona wins the draft but good for them, they probably deserve a break.

+1
I'm getting the feeling that the Kraft loves JJM and front office wants trade down talk is legit. Giants trying to provide them an option for happy middle ground between Kraft and his FO.
Lamb/Beef is the way to go.
I have always thought that if NYG liked both Maye and McCarthy in that order then why not just move up with AZ, as long as AZ would be happy with either MHJ or Nabers.
This way NYG gets a QB. The only reason this hasn't happened is because either NYG likes only one of the 2 QB's in a trade up and/or AZ only wants MHJ.
Because the Giants could just trade to #4 and wait for the Patriots to take JJM and they get nothing.
By doing a trade with the Giants they'll give up less to go from 6 to 4 than the Giants to go from 6 to 3 and net picks. It is less than they would get from the Vikings but they're insured to get their QB all the same plus a little free capital.
The Giants should just stay at 6 and get a great player. If you trade up you’re getting played.
The Giants 6th overall is still very valuable to NE, Ariz or LAC as it lets them still get one of the top 3 WRs.
