I haven’t heard that before. Great scoop from Sirius NFL! Lol.
Not busting your chops Frank, it’s just that this has been said 1000x already and Sirius is making it out to be some new information that’s never been heard before.
Miller-
This is about Jordan Raanan's report.
Would they be able to trade up and do they have a willing partner.
Odds-on bet is Daniels to WAS and Maye to NE.
Reports are any trade offers to NE have not been serious, been laughable.
Kirwan-
Yeah, but it's not the witching hour yet.
But you can't do big trades like this until you see who goes #2.
Makes me think now that Maye is a smokescreen from the Giants and they are doing it to force Minnesota to trade up so the Giants can draft McCarthy or get a WR pushed down to them.
as trade partners. ie Chargers could get the same guy at 6 they would have gotten at 5. For instance, if we throw them a third rounder in order to move up one spot.
If JJM goes #2, this will turn the whole thing on its head. Duh.
That could pull Denver into the mix b/c supposedly they love Maye.
Everything revolves and changes on what they do. If they trade out of that spot I feel like all hell breaks loose in the top 12. Lots of trades and maneuvering. If they stay put and take a QB. I feel like the only trade will be Minn or possibly the Giants moving up for QB4.
I just still have a hard time believing the Pats will trade out of that spot.
If the Giants want Nabers, I don't believe they'd have to "try" all that hard.
Think about it. Minnesota, NYG, Denver and Las Vegas are all trying to trade up for QB-4 and both AZ and LAC have suggested that they'd consider trading out. That likely means 4 QBs and MHJ go in the top 5 picks.
If the Giants want Nabers all they'll need to do is stay at 6 and turn in the card when it's their turn.
the first four picks are going to be Williams, Daniels, Maye, and Harrison Jr. with no trades made. The questions then are: do the Giants want JJM and, just as important, do the Vikings think the Giants want JJM. Are the Giants and Vikings in a bidding war or do the Vikings at least think that they are? If it’s a real bidding war, then I suspect the Giants will win because the chargers only move down one spot and can still draft nabers. If it’s not a real bidding war but the Vikings get bluffed into making a godfather offer, then they take JJM at 5 and giants grab nabers at 6. Alternatively, the chargers stay put at 5 and take nabers and then Giants take JJM or Odunze.
I think there is greater than 90% chance that the giants end up with one of JJM/Nabers/Odunze. Between those three it really comes down to how they feel about JJM and the Giants have done a great job of keeping everyone guessing. Gun to my head, I think they are trying to bluff the Vikings into trading up so they can land Nabers and if they fail to bluff, they’re gonna take Odunze.

I’d be shocked if Harbaugh traded that pick to Denver or Vegas so that they can take JJM (if he did, that would be quite an indictment of JJM). I think it’s just the Vikings who have a real shot of trading into that pick. I also think Arizona just want Harrison Jr. and aren’t trading no matter what.

I don't agree. Minnesota supposedly wants Maye or Penix as fallback option without trade up. AZ doesn't want to miss out on Nabers/MHJ. LAC are extremely unlikely to trade with division rivals trying to get a potential franchise QB.

Most likely. Certainly the Vegas oddsmakers even see a stronger chance of that happening each day as the draft approaches. I don't see the Cardinals as trading out, as they want a WR, unless it's with the Giants. But the Chargers are open for business for a trade down for teams looking for McCarthy.

You're making a lot of assumptions based on "insiders" guesses... some of whom are very questionable sources.
Minnesota has been linked to Maye, JJ and Penix by a number of different people. I don't there's a consensus as to which QB they want if Maye isn't available in a trade up.
Also not sure how you can definitively state that AZ doesn't want to miss out on Nabers/MHJ. They can trade out of 4 and do what they did last year and trade back up, this time to take Nabers or Odunze.

Thanks for this Frank, appreciate this. I will just add that no way does AZ do the deal for a 3rd rounder, even if they will get the guy they want anyway. It will take our 2nd rounder, at least.

This is merely my perspective. I'm not making assumptions. I don't think Minnesota will trade the farm for the 3rd or 4th QB off the board, that's pretty unheard of. Usually when you trade a king's ransom it's for one target, not two. In fact, I can't think of anytime that's happened.
And AZ is very likely not interested in missing our on Nabers/Odunze or risking it with a trade down further than 6. That's just what I think makes sense and is congruent with reports.

Hearing Daniels wants nothing to do with Washington

An active GM who is picking outside the top 10 predicted confidentially to Kiwan that his gut tells him there will be 2-3 trades in the first round.
End of spot.
If anyody finds I missed or mistransribed anything, please feel free to chime in.
I just still have a hard time believing the Pats will trade out of that spot.
They didn't mention the 3 way trade idea;)?
