With all this talk of keeping picks this year and holding picks next year has me thinking about our drafts of the past.
2017: 23rd pick of first rd- TE
2018: 2nd pick in the draft- RB
2019: three first rd picks- QB,S,DT
2020: 4th pick in the draft- OT
2021: 20th after trade down- WR
2022: 5th and 7th picks of rd 1- Edge and OT
2023: 24th pick of 1st rd- CB
Those picks have been less than stellar and in some cases just plain misses.
We have all of those first rd picks and what has it equated to? It has meant 1 playoff win and 2 playoff games.. 1..
This idea that the draft is a crapshoot is true but all the more reason to roll the dice and not just hold picks expecting all will be fine by doing so. Giants need a QB and cannot just let it go because we don't want to trade our picks..
Drake Maye is the guy we need to try very hard to get.. Giving a 1st nextt year should not be an issue at all....
We needed a QB in 17 when there were multiple 1st rd QB options. We needed a QB in 2018 when there were a number of QB options. We needed a QB in 2019 where the options at QB where not too great but we grabbed one at 6! Come 2020, 2021 and 2022 we needed a QB still and here we are in 2024 we
need a QB still... If you put it off again you complicate our cap further and put us in a place where we are a guy in a desert just hoping for a glass of water, any water, any glass..

"We need a qb" is much better with a simple preface, I think we need a ..... "it seems to me that. .
It would add substance and remove resistance to an otherwise cogent thread.
