LETS GET IT! 7:30 Tip Time.....Knicks game on the big 85" tv in my theatre room and Draft on the 50" tv in the bar area....Lets go!
Rumor has it Mitch may miss the game tonight (He's listed as Q with Ankle load management)
Sixers are 5.5 point favorites, refs aren't gonna do us no favors....
Put the Sixers in the trunk and go up 3-0!
Well I'm sure you can bet the over/under on Embiid's FT's. Definitely bet the over on that one.
Shouldn't be too bad considering he had surgery in December. But, getting it back to great condition will take time. Game 1 was his first time playing 30+ min since December so I wouldn't be surprised if they sit him out of caution.
Yup, time for Brunson to break out. Pretty remarkable we pulled of games 1 and 2 with him cold in hindsight. Let’s bury these whiny fucks
As far as Mitch goes, if he misses it then it is only 1 game. I'd rather him as healthy as possible for the rest of the series than just tonight. If he's able to go then great. Precious is probably begging to play and, honestly, I love what he brings. He'd keep our huge rebounding advantage going while still being able to provide some offense.
Sixers need to hope to keep shit close! Knicks are good at home and soul crushing on the road. If the Sixers think they got this because they are home think again. MSG south. Fuck off philly.

like "bullshit calls for the home team." Although I am going to look into if one can bet total fouls called lol.

Couldn't find anything like that, so just bet the over lol. More Free Throws = more points.
Embid has decided rebounding and defense are not important. If you spread them out it's 5-4 and have everyone continue to crash the boards hard.
He is going to get his in the first half but keep him moving and push pace.
Eventually Maxey or Embiid will have a bad game, they have been playing fantastic the first 2 games..
Eventually Maxey or Embiid will have a bad game, they have been playing fantastic the first 2 games..
I just can't see Embiid holding up for the 4-5 more games they would need to win. Maxey is a beast I think he can continue to thrive.
They have been trying but what Phikky does is use Hart's man to switch with Embiid so he doesnt have to move, thats why Hart has been so open
We're up 2-0. If the game is going well I think it's perfectly reasonable to use Mitch less than usual, considering we intend to go on a deep run.
you really think Thibs, of all people, is going to baby a player at this point? If they're being extra cautious with him they likely have legit reason for concern.

in screen actions on offense. He needs to prove that he has the stamina and mobility to play on both ends of the floor. Brunson needs to bring it tonight, but we've been playing well lately.

which is why Hart should maybe sit once in a while. Yes he's made them pay but they haven't been able to get Brunson going and the offense has really bogged down at times. If things start clicking and Embiid is a statue on defense, we can blow them out.
Quote:
That's bullshit. And not having Robinson, at this point, is a huge blow, especially in this series.

I think this game comes down to the role players because the Knicks depth has been exceptional and the Sixers haven’t done jackshit outside of a few quarters from Kyle Lowry. Embiid (in his current form) and Maxey can’t be expected to play better than they have so far. The Sixers need their other players to step up.
The Knicks could really use Jalen Brunson getting back to himself in order to take the pressure off of everyone else.

I’m ok not having game 2 Mitch play today if it helps us get game 1 Mitch back later in the series.
great, need his offensive rebounds tonight
NBA doesn't care about the NFL especially the draft
We need Brunson to hit open shots.
I have to say we've set some questionable screens and got away them though. We need Brunson to hear up. He's getting good looks.
Also, we still majorly suck at inbounding passes. Thibs - do better.
And of course dickhead Embiid should’ve been ejected.
Knicks may or may not win this game, but they should win the series.
Yeah Precious really held down the firt there and made some big plays on the defensive end
Mitch out for game as well.
The vibes are not good at the moment
Don’t let the sixers run that game.
Unreal. Sixers are like 7/8 from 3 this quarter
Spoke to soon. Back up 10 lol
Really hard to win when a team catches fire like that. Oh well.
There’s no way they are tossing Embid on that. No fucking shot.
They have and they do.
They have battling and not letting this get out of range

Refs wont let them come back, they just fell for anotber lowry flop

Yeah this has all the feel of a ‘refs even it up’ game
Knicks need someone other than Brunson to get hot, with 3 minutes left or in game 4

Should of been tossed, he grabbed Mitches ankles and then push him

Karma is coming for embiids knee . I still cannot believe he was not ejected for that dangerous play on Mitch
I mean they are up 2-1 so its hard to complain..
Brunson has not played well, looks like he got it going tonight..
I mean Maxey is a damn good player and Embiid is an MVP..
they have had to play a perfect game to beat them, they shot the loghts out and have shot 10 more free throws...
Look at Orlando vs Cavs, Magic blew them out by 40...
Got to win game 4 though and dont let the Sixers breathe because then game 5 gets really tight and a must win
This is exactly what we all knew would happen.
Who is writing the NBA script anyway…Vince McMahon? Everyone in the world knew what the refs/NBA were going to do.

Finally.... Embiid is 285 pounds of 💩💩💩

Their perimeter defense wasn't good and it was raining threes. Sure the officiating was bad and Embiid shoulda been tossed, but the Knicks only played 36 minutes.

He could have played the game but he didn’t. Why the sixers did clearly impacted this game. Thibs missed the boat here. Too bad.
I think he did play the game with his comments.
I don’t. He made a couple of vague comments that the refs won’t even see/hear. A lot of the playoffs is played in the media and the sixers went all out after game two. And it worked for them. Thibs limped out of that post game presser.
I don’t love it. And I wish the coach/players would just STFU. But many people are small, weak minded individuals looking to place blame. And that’s Philly. This is no time to take the high road. Throw it in the refs faces. Publicly. And blatantly. Even the game.
One side effect must be randomly falling over. Much more relentless flopping than usual. Expect it again next game.
Mitchell Robinson left the arena tonight in a walking boot, per SNY’s @amirnorman. Robinson missed the second half of NYK’s Game 3 loss to PHI due to a left ankle sprain.
They always say “the squeaky wheel gets the grease” and there are no truer words. And this game proved it. But the Knicks are the utmost professionals. I really hope it’s rewarded. They deserve it. And Philly are a bunch of skanks.
Sounds to me the Knicks are pissed

He kicked Hartenstein and Mitch in the nuts, injured Mitches ankle, hip checked OG, smacked Hartenstein in the face..
I mean its ridiculous, protect your players NBA
He absolutely should have been tossed. The bar I was at was using the TNT feed for some God forsaken reason, what were the MSG people saying?
Him and his POS coach can go to hell

Reading a lot of comments in the postgame all Philly did with their antics wa fire up this Knicks team even more, i know its the playoffs and you shouldnt need extra motivation..
But Philly is not going to shoot like they did again and now they got a pissed off Knicks team
Embiid scored a thousand points, but they lost the game because of scrubs like Cam Payne, Oubre, and Lowry.
Wasted a good game by Brunson with pathetic defense.
Fuck Embiid and Lowry. Their bullshit at the beginning of the game was ridiculous.
They would actually trade him to the Knicks??
Quote:
But more importantly their number 1 move would be Booker. Most likely move is Mikal

The Knicks seem to believe so
Sign Anthony Bonner to a ten day contract and have him punch Embiid in the throat. Problem solved. Sure, he’s like 60 years old, but I guarantee you that dude is still scary as hell
Well, let's officially put that fucking shit to bed. Fuck Embiid and fuck Philly fans who defend his punk ass. This is the shit you get away with these days because there are no Anthony Mason's out there to beat your ass.
Its absolutely ridoculous and the league wont do shit because that POS coach and organkzation filed a grievance against the NBA..
now to the officiating its an absolute joke that all it takes is for a coach to complain in the media and the next game they get every whistle under the sun..Embiid shot 23 free throws last night lol i meam come on..
Sixers shot the lights out in the 3rd, shot 14 more free throws and had to throw a temper tantrum to beat the Knicks while playing dirty and the Knicks were still a run away
And if you dont know what that is... yeah, its that bad.
Good to see Brunson come alive. Achiuwa should get more time.
Thanks for this. All Knick fans should definitely be rooting for a Suns collapse. I like Mikal but I'm not sure he provides enough self creation to really get this team to the Celtics' level.
Would love any trade deadline info you wouldn't mind sharing.
If i am the Knicks i am sending every sirty play to the league and i am putting it alongside video of plays Draymond got suspended for and asking ehats the difference
As if there aren't enough reasons to love this guy, this would be a pretty massive development for the Knicks. He should be eligible for the Supermax when he hits unrestricted free agency, so taking the max agreement now I believe should save the Knicks a ton of money and allow them to operate under the second apron for longer. With OG, iHart signings coming up we could lock in almost our entire core for a solid 3-4 years this summer.
Only lingering question is Randle who is still underpaid, changed agents and technically could be going into a contract year next year assuming he declines the player option (he should).
There's a complete double standard. The refs didn't want to end the game on that play. If Hartenstein did that to Embiid he'd be gone before they went to the monitor.
DDV
Brunson
Bogie (I think?)
Yeah, I was annoyed by that too

They’re going to try to trade him. Was told they don’t feel like they need to add a superstar to win a title and will only do it if it’s Booker or Giannis. They think they can win a title adding a guy like Mikal and I tend to agree with them

They're going to try to trade Randle? I don't hate it. I think his value is actually close to his peak right now since there's a lot of "oh man what if Randle was back" and not a lot of "oh great Randle forgot to play defense again" and "oh Randle isn't running back on D to argue with the refs again".
I like Julius but I'm not tied to Julius. OG can certainly man the 4, there simply aren't many (any?) bruising PFs these days, and if you add either Booker or Bridges all of a sudden you have an absolute lights out shooting starting 5.
Was messing around in the Cap Machine a few days ago and Randle and Bogie for Booker is an exact dollar for dollar match. Both 49.3M
Sometimes a team just gets stupid hot - look at what the Heat did in Boston in game 2
If the Sixer go even 6-12, which is a great quarter of shooting, the Knicks still have every chance to pull that one out last night. And that's with nobody not named Brunson having a big offensive night for the Knicks (OG put in a worthy effort).
Unless of course the refs kicking it into the fairway for Philly to ensure the series goes longer is real, which given the NBA may well be true
If i am the Knicks i am sending every sirty play to the league and i am putting it alongside video of plays Draymond got suspended for and asking ehats the difference
That was such an outrageously dirty and dangerous play. Imagine the outrage if someone did that to Embiid and he was injured on the play?

Depends which Bridges you get. Are you getting the 26 PPG efficient two way monster to end last season or the 19.6 PPG 43% from the field guy this year.
Everything around the Nets was so toxic this year you don't want to put too much weight into the latter. Maybe a good buy low opportunity, although the Nets have turned down some pretty serious offers to date.
Warriors offered Wiggins for grimes
Thibs wanted Burks and Detroit had a trade in place for Burks and only did the deal because they would take Bojan
Fuck off David Stern. I don't care if he's dead. Fuck em in the afterlife.

That Wiggins contract is not an asset. Thank god they didn't take on that albatross. He looks disinterested in basketball since he signed that extension.

I dont even think you need 26 ppg..effecient shooting absolutely..
If he gives you 20 a game on effecient from 3 and stellar defense like in Ohoenix, thats all you need..
Think about the matchup with Boston, Bridges on Brown, OG on tatum and the 3 point shooting can match them as well
They feel if they can get 80% of Randles scoring and a 20% increase in defense from Randle they can win a title. I think Bridges gives that as a floor.

Only issue that the Nets won't trade Bridges to the Knicks unless they want to do the player a favor.
From what I hear, there is a good chance Booker and Durant ask out of Phoenix if they lose again. The Knicks I'd imagine would be in on both. Also, the Giannis/Dame/Bucks situation bears watching.

I think the bucks will trade Dame to Miami in the offseason if they get knocked out early, try to get a little more doeth around Giannis..
I could see Booker and Durant asking out..
The question with Bridges is how much does he rrally want to play with his friends and from a Nets perspective its not like they are trading a suoerstar to the Knicks
Thats wild...
Thanks for all the info AJ. What was the offer for Bridges at the deadline?
Could you see the Suns blowing it up?

I’m not sold on ishiba blowing it up in Phoenix
No problem with how the Knicks handled things last night, but I thought they could’ve answered that OG hip check by returning the favor. Oubre and Batum were mugging Brunson up and down the court - easily could’ve had Hartenstein or Hart go set a similar screen and put them on their ass. Just to say knock it off already.
this piece of sh-t dared the refs to stop him and instead they put him on the line 20+ times. It's a joke.
yeah - he's an all-NBA, MVP caliber player in his prime under long term contract, lol. Only way he gets moved is if things get ugly and he tries to force his way out and they give in.

I think the Knicks have to bank on him asking out. Same with Giannis or even Bridges. But it's not that uncommon anymore, and as AJR pointed out Giannis even has a handshake agreement with ownership that it's a possibility.
The Suns are in a really bad situation at the moment. They're old, they have 0 picks including their own and they're pretty bad, with maybe the worst contract in the NBA in Beal.
The Bucks aren't much better with a core all in their mid 30s outside of Giannis.
I've actually heard rumblings that Durant might want to go back to OKC.
Knicks fans and media are personally emailing him for Embid to be suspended for Game 4. Apparently, there is video that he should have been called for a total of 6 technicals, which include taunting of Jalen Brunson and the Knicks bench on numerous occasions.
He also walked off the court before the game was over.
I'm sure this will not do any good, but it was a total disgrace.
Kind of like IQ. I only wish we had a young PF that was ready to break out like Deuce did after dealing IQ away.
Knicks do have 2 first rounders so maybe they can grab a young front court player and develop him.

Yep--Booker isn't going anywhere.
Durant and Beal are entirely up for grabs if they STB this postseason. Not Booker.
An OKC return would be really intriguing.
Its amazing how many flat out no other explanation dirty plays Embiid had last night. It was like 4 or 5. Draymond Green would be horrified.
Same for me. It just more irritating as I sit and think about how nurse just wanted to bitch and moan for fouls and then Embiid pulls the shit last night and the guy has nothing to say. Pure fucking filth from that organization. Wish we had someone on the team that would just flatten Embiid and send a message.
Also be nice to hear an explanation on how that wasn’t a flagrant 2 from the league office
This is the dream scenario, as I stated above. Win game four and have 48 minutes of “Fuck Embiid” chants as he sulks and ultimately quits like he always does.

If you’re Devin Booker and you see 0 cap space 0 draft picks and Durant and Beal aging why do you want to stay?
Probably one more season of the same thing and then he asks out. But Beal and Durant will be a year older and always a possible injury.
Things have broken right for PHX this year with injuries/ etc and they still can’t compete in the first round.
It would be hilarious if Booker asked out first and left Durant stranded there. They would move Durant too but it would still be karmic justice.
I think the situation in Milwaukee could get spicy. Especially given AJs tidbit yesterday.
Knicks have to beat the Sixers
the game was tied 70-70 halfway through the 3rd, they sckred 19 points the rest of the game
I don’t like it and it had nothing to do with Embid, who I can’t stand. I simply believe it’s trashy to yell that in public and parents that bring their young children to a game should have to deal with that. To each his own I just uncalled for.
Cleveland tanked their finale. Bucks were trying to win and get the two seed, as evidenced by the fact that they started Lillard. They packed it in when they fell behind.

I think parents bringing their kids to a Knicks playoff game had a good sense in advance that this was likely. In my neck of the woods, most kids have heard the "f" word numerous times throughout their young lives, but perhaps that's different depending on where you are. Regardless, if parents truly don't want their kids experiencing that behavior, they could have simply watched the game on tv with their kiddos.

if we blow this there's gonna be second guessing - but I don't care. I'm not what you'd call a Thibs fanboy but all season he had them playing to win every night despite having built in excuses to to punt one once in a while. You don't just turn that off for the last game of the season.
Nurse and the Sixers have to be the whinnyest bunch of jokers in the league
