Bypassed 2 QBs who went 2 and 4 picks after us and as I’m typing this I think Denver is taking Nix at 12, all for a wide receiver which may be the deepest position in this draft.
The Giants have very little hope to sell fans for next season.
They had to know that by not picking again until 47, they were going to get one chance at a significant QB selection and they passed it up.

we'll see how it ends up but it was certainly an unexpected endorsement of jones.
they tried to trade up for drake maye though, so it would seem they had qbs who they saw as upgrades and others they didnt.
Love you JonC, but can you elaborate? Because I’m having a really hard time accepting this outcome. What a horrible evening. 2024 season already than the drain.
Unless it was sarcasm?!
It was so obvious all these QBs were going to be gone by 12

Per the bold, 100%. Schoen has tripled down.
Do you think Schoen will admit to calling the Pats about Maye? Or perhaps it was soft interest at best and the plan was to sit chilly and wait for the WR at 6?
He isn't good. Nabers or not. Improvements along the OL or not. And people can't say that we haven't tried to bring in weapons or improvements in front of him.
He isn't a gamechanger. He's barely average. The team overpaid, and now we are stuck with his fragile neck for yet another season.

I do not believe that they tried to trade up for Maye. Nabers was their guy. Imo the talk about the Giants trading up was from other teams trying to increase offers.
RE: i think it’s just finally put-up-or-shutup time
We don't need a QB. We have the great Daniel Jones.
insane. knew this was a solid class but didnt see that coming.
bw is right. Schoen just went all in on Jones. Now I expect to win with the expensive QB.

But our NY Giants had absolutely no interest in 3 of them which were completely available.
Unfortunately that number is 10,000.

But you know what there will be a lot of in rounds 2 and 3? Wide receivers.
btw...what's the over-under on when Nabers asks for a trade?
Have you 'trusted the work' these last 12 years?

You must be new
I don't see what Schoen and Dabs do - clearly.

Yay.

Finally? Last year after that contract was his put up or shut up and he cut out his own tongue.
Yup, Giants passed on 3 of them after Ll the work. I guess other teams disagree. We shall see.
Agree. This reeks of Barkley 2.0. Great player no infrastructure to maximize his talents. Giants will be back in the GM head coach pool in 26.
Hopefully there will be new people making it.

Go win the division, Daniel.
What a wonderful thing to have hold out hope for. A scrap heap QB who has been given up on by two teams and, a guy who, at best, is a back up.
Woooooo baby! Sign me up and give me a medium Pepsi!
This team is run by assholes.

They obviously didn't like the group after the top 3. Gotta trust the work

Exactly. “Trust the work” of a franchise that can’t draft worth a shit.
