No way. But I am not adverse to shopping Slayton and/or Ojulari to try and move up.
Value and need seem to meet up.
Melton, Benson, Newton
I would actually lean toward DT, DB day 2 and come back on day 3 with Estime.
Powers-Johnson or Frazier - both look like 10 year starters for me
Benson - another weapon would be great, but I think there's other guys you can get later too
DeJean will almost certainly be gone, but would also love Bullard or Nubin
Melton and McKinstry
there's a good chance all those guys are gone by 47, but I really hope one of them falls to us.
Not earth shattering but I think late 4 to early 5 will be a good place to find RB and S options and good spot for an extra pick
Good point.
70. Trey Benson, RB, Florida State
1 G (86)
I’m hopeful we will get a useful player
RB would be early, but if they really like him as a guy to be an immediate (rotational) starter in this offense? I’d get behind that.
or
2) Trade down in the 2nd to get some 2025 picks
It’s not good … but definitely not bad either. No one left on the board can carry Burns’ jock.
I am thinking New England has to be one of the favorites to trade for one of those guys -- especially with their early 2nd round pick
Talk to us 4 years when 4/5 of the 6 QB’s bust
I'd be pleased to choose any of these O or D linemen at 47:
86 1 G/C Powers-Johnson Jackson 6’3" 328 Oregon
83 1 DT Orhorhoro Ruke 6’4" 294 Clemson
82 2 DT Newton Jer’Zhan 6’3" 296 Illinois
80 8 OT Suamataia Kingsley 6’5" 326 BYU
80 4 G/C Frazier Zach 6’3" 313 West Virginia
79 4 DT Fiske Braden 6’4" 292 Florida S
Yup, Ruke Orhorhoro would look pretty good next to Sexy Dex.
Christian Haynes OG from UCONN is still there. #1 rated guard that's still available. I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants trade up to get him.
I don't care that we signed 5 veteran OL, keep shoring up the trenches until we're pushing around Philly/Dallas and not vice versa.

And not a QB to be found

There are 5+ WRs on a team and 1 QB. How strange there are more WRs in the draft
I'm not saying DT at all costs here but I agree wthat getting another presence on the interior DL could make our front 4/5 legit. I'm a big fan of Fiske but there are multiple DTs that could fit in this system.
He is. Grades have many different components to them. Fiske is smaller with smaller arms that is a huge negative for a lot of teams. Still, I love him. But that is why his grade is lower but he still has a second round grade.

as the barometer, but how is Braden Fiske not one of the top choices here! He's the perfect DT for this team right now and adds another pass rusher up the middle.

I see we overlapped with our posts for him. A guy with his athleticism and his absolute love of football (and rave reviews as a teammate) make this a very desirable pick if hes there at 47
Two at those positions to go along with Nabers and Burns sounds good to me.

Get us pick 33 from schoen's buddy Beane??

I'd trade #47, Slayton and a '25(5th?) pick to LAC for #37 if Powers is there
About 5 guys in the top 12 I’d like us to have, especially the CBs.
I'm not big on DT Ruke Orhorhoro. His name sounds like somebody coughing up phlegm. At 294 pounds, that's a lot of phlegm.
Strengthen strengths, especially at premium positions.
If teams look at him as a safety, positional value probably says you wait until round 2 to grab him.

You do realize for BBI thats actually a better reason that many give? Sy level IMO Bravo

Adonai is Hebrew for "God" and clearly, the Giants need God's help this season.

His name actually sounds like a dog barking, which I love.
Way too high for Jordan Travis. He'll be there on day 3
I’m sort of there as well, DT/CB look optimal.
Excellent range, tackler and blitzer. Excellent at coverage. With him and Okereke each in charge of half the field in the box / flat this front 7 would be killer.
Imagine a better version of okereke playing next to okereke.
This guy is my dream in round 2
Johnny Newton
Kool-Aid McKinstry
Max Melton
Ennis Rakestraw Jr
TJ Tampa
Andru Phillips
Jackson Powers Johnson
Jaden Hicks
Kamari Lassiter
Javon Bullard
Jonathon Brooks
DJ James
Trey Benson
Blake Corum
Putting it all together with Sys 24 grades. This is the "best draft value" of Sys picks of who is left for round
24 players are worthy of the 47th overall pick, according to Sy's grades and the system. Three are WR, so I will remove them.
That leaves us with 21 players with 15 picks to go. Meaning we could easily drop several slots and still get a worthy player and pick up a later pick.
Three players, all at a position of need, JUMP OUT. If they are there, you can't trade down - you must take them
- G/C Powers-Johnson, DT Orhorhoro (plus, it's fun to say), and DB Cooper DeJean
Positions available that prvide 'value" at 47
1 OL, 2 DT, 7 S, 7 CB, 2 RB, 2 Edge.
Unless there is a run on S/CB's - I could see us trading down and selecting the best remaining one.

But, he might not.
RD3 has not been a sweet spot for NY and Travis is worthy of a shot.

I'd bet a lot of money he's available in the 4th/5th/6th. I think the only QB who'll get drafted today is Rattler
