let's start with some easy calls:
the top 6 players picked were almost definitely among them.
very likely also Odunze (went #9).
let's put the 3 other QBs to the side because if they were willing to trade up for Maye but passed on the other 3, it's clear they were probably separated by a tier.
next 11 position players off the board:
7. Latham (probably)
11. Fashanu (probably)
13. Bowers (probably)
14. Fuaga (probably)
15. Latu (maybe / medical?)
16. Murphy (probably)
17. Turner (probably, visited NYG)
18. Mims (maybe, too raw?)
19. Verse (probably)
20. Fautanu (maybe / medical?)
21. Chop R. (maybe, local visited NYG)
top 6 + rome
+ 7 "probably"
+ 1 of the 4 maybes
= 15 first round grades
schoen commented that banks would be the highest graded corner in this class, looks like he wasn't just blowing smoke. i thought both could still be in that top 15 but having seen how things unfolded, maybe not.
sitting at #6, I'd imagine nabers and odunze were their highest grades by a pretty big margin, so not really a good position to trade down from. if that board above is right, most of it was OL and DL and neither class was considered to have any real blue chips other than maybe Alt who was already gone.
