That the Vikings were trying to trade up to the 5th pick. The thing is he heard it wasn't to take McCarthy but instead they were trying to get Nabers. Florio is a Vikings fan and I'm sure he has some sources that would know this. Interesting if true.

Getting jumped for a WR again would have sucked. I'm guessing the Giants would have gone with Odunze since they passed on McCarthy. Imagine if they had gotten jumped for a WR and traded down for another WR?

It involved trading Jefferson in separate move I do not buy it.

They were trying to move for McCarthy at 5. Period.

The QB hype train was at full blast bc so many QB hungry teams BUT it will devestate a franchise if you get the wrong guy.. thankfully We didnt fall into that trap.

And the part Florio got right is that it wasn't McCarthy. Recall that the Vikings asshat on BBI was saying that Penix was their fallback if they couldn't get Maye in a trade up.
