Milton day 3 to a day 2 Rattler. But I do think the Giants will add a developmental QB sometime between round 3-5.
Milton has all the tools and once we punted on a new starter yesterday has the leash to learn from the sidelines. Let's see if Daboll can mold him, the ceiling is astronomical.
Schoen was asked point blank if the Giants would be looking to take another QB in the draft or if they were OK going with the 3 QBs on the roster and Schoen, without hesitation, said that they were comfortable going with their 3 QBs.
I suspect that since QBs 1-6 are already gone, someone will overdraft Rattler and he could even go late RD-2.
Take a flyer on Milton in the 6th if he's still there otherwise, continue to build the rest of the roster.
I'd go with either Pratt or Jordan Travis on day 3, Rattler in the 2nd round? I feel like they need to have some conviction in that pick to take him that early.
the combine on QB day. Rattler was very non athletic. It would be a complete waste of a second round pick. With all our needs to take Rattler would be a compete indictment that our front office is clueless.
would be surprised if the Giants took Rattler or Pratt. Rattler has a plus arm and is mobile, but doesn't have the size requirements the Giants prefer. Pratt simply doesn't have the arm strength needed to get the ball down the field, something that is needed to take full advantage of the speed we now have at WR with Nabers, Hyatt, and Slayton. He looks like a better version of Kyle Lauletta. His ceiling is game manager. But between the two, the Giants are more likely to pick Rattler, if only because they had him in for a top 30 visit.
If no one takes a early flyer on Rattler and he falls to the fourth round I would be ok taking the flyer then. He has arm talent and could be a better version of Tyrod Taylor is everything went right.
If the Giants were to draft him, I could see a world where he becomes a cost controlled bridge QB. But it could also be waste of a pick. But if we trade down and he falls, im ok with risk
but is Milton sort of a Josh Allen like prospect? Big arm, bad comp %, etc... is that the kind of project we might take in Rd4 to see if there is anything there?
The only one QB from their 30 visits left. Don't ignore that fact when considering the possibility. They scouted the hell out of the QBs, and Rattler was one.

Round 3 Pratt is a better choice IMO.

Maturity? The kid was known to be a baby and an ass.
Watch the QB1 documentary. Its all on footage.

for talent and maturity wise. Daball could work some magic with him imo.. Think Tyrod but legit 1 capability

Old news. Adversity often times builds character too.

Forcing a QB pick in round 2 might be as bad as reaching for one in round 1.

IF you can get Spencer in the 3rd not 2nd..

That series is a little concerning, but it is tough to judge a kid as a 17 year old high school student.
I would hope there would be some maturation since then, and by all accounts, the Oklahoma to South Carolina transition has humbled him.
or is he that bad?
Lmao. No he doesn’t. Nothing could be further from the truth. Complete and utter BS.
Rattler is a head case and just not that good. Stop.
