Offer 4th Rnd Pick For Michael Mayer - Thoughts?

BlueVinnie : 4/26/2024 10:53 am
The need for a TE is real. I'm guessing Vegas' selection of Bowers was more of a BPA thing than an indictment of Mayer.

I think Mayer was considered a better prospect than Sinnott, Stover, etc. currently are.

Your thoughts?
Vegas isn't going to trade last year's 35th pick

who looked good as a rookie for a 4th rounder a year later
I don’t think the Raiders

would want to trade him. They may employ an offensive scheme like the Eagles used to with Ertz and Goedert.
He started to come one

late last year. Not sure i would want to part with a 4th for him,
I don’t think drafting Bowers

necessarily means that Mayer’s days in LV are numbered. Bower’s best usage is to move him all over the formation, so he would be on the field with Mayer quite a bit.
I’d definitely offer it but not sure LV
Metnut : 4/26/2024 10:56 am : link
would accept.
OMG BlueVinnie

Great minds...
They will be running Mayer inline and Bowers H back.

They got something good cooking in Vegas. Antonio Pierce is the next Mike Tomlin.

Hmm...interesting.
They aren't trading Mayer.

Hunter Renfrow is on the block though if you want his washed up ass. One of my best friends is a die hard Raiders fan. I watched their pick while on the phone with him. We were both thinking Fuaga, but I honestly forgot Bowers was on the board. Great pick getting a true blue chip talent there that will be a dynamic addition to the offense. Their former 7th round pick Mumford has looked good at right tackle and they obviously believe in him after passing Fuaga and letting Eleumanor walk.

Adams, Jacobi meyers, Mayer, Bowers, Tucker and a rookie QB who looked very good...then Wilkins added to an already deadly pass rush, they are cooking up something real good with Antonio pierce in Vegas boy!
Without blinking

But the raiders aren't trading him

100% Mayer is a classic inline TE, Bowers is that h back able to attack from everywhere on the field even in the backfield.
Mayer was not great last year
knowledgetimmons : 4/26/2024 11:33 am : link
He completely underperformed from a high 2nd round pick perspective. Still, I don't see them moving off of him easily.
This might be a spot
SirYesSir : 4/26/2024 12:09 pm : link
where we could offer Slayton along with a lower pick. idk
Mayer looked really good last year - they misused him
Eric on Li : 4/26/2024 12:11 pm : link
I'd 100% do a 4th + slayton or something like that.
Bellinger is a fine TE
ElitoCanton : 4/26/2024 12:13 pm : link
he gets open a lot. Not his fault the shit QB doesn't get him the ball.
