Some of these have already been mentioned in other threads, but which one do you think will be the MOST popular?
A. Nabers is a rookie. It's not the Jones can't get him the ball, Nabers is working hard but rookies just take time to learn.
B. Nabers is a diva. It's not that Jones can't get him the ball, Nabers has a bad attitude and he's not working hard enough to learn.
B part 2: All the WRs are complaining and undermining Jones. They should all be shipped out like OBJ.
C. Jones doesn't have a receiving TE. Not fair to judge him until we draft someone like Evan Engram.
D. Against all odds, all the OLs we signed are terrible. It's a historically bad OL! The only worse OL in the NFL in the last 30 years were last year's (very different) OL, the (completely different) OL from 2022 etc
E. A few people mentioned the idea of an open competition for the starting job, and this put unacceptable pressure on Daniel Jones. Does Patrick Mahomes have to compete for his job every year? Does Aaron Rodgers? Did Tom Brady?
F. One of the OLs got hurt.
G. One of the WRs got hurt.
H. Jones lost his best playmaker, Saquon Barkley. (Can't believe I haven't seen this one yet this morning.)
I. We haven't had a WR like Nabers before. The whole offense was actually redesigned around Nabers' talent. Therefore, this is really Jones' first year in a new system! We have to give it at least two more years after this one for everyone to learn a new system. Who judges in year one?
J. We lost Xavier McKinney and Leonard Williams. Jones has the worst defense in the NFL!
K. Jones has the worst special teams in the NFL.
L. Jones hasn't fully recovered from the injuries! ACLs can take 2 years for full recovery. Necks can take any amount of time.
M. Jones has a bad record against the Cowboys and Eagles, and for some reason the schedule-makers keep screwing the Giants by making us play those teams a lot.
N. Jones sat for the whole pre-season, how can you expect him to get in a rhythm for opening day?
O. Jones played in the pre-season this time. He wasn't ready/recovered and now he's tired/hurt.
P. The new starting RB is a great RB, but he can't catch passes. Not fair, have to get Jones a pass-catching RB.
R. The new starting RB is a great pass-catcher, but there is no running game to support Jones! (Ok, maybe goes together with "historically bad OL".)
S. When did Jones ever have a Pro-Bowl fullback?
T. Is it fair that they schedule Jones for night games that are after his bedtime? More schedule bias!
U. Daboll is a first-time head coach. Need to get an experienced head coach before you judge Jones.
V. Schoen is a first-time GM. Need to get an experienced GM/ better talent around Jones.
W. Jones is always super polite to his teammates and insists on calling them all by their full names. Do you have any idea how much time it takes to say "John Michael Schmitz" in the huddle before each play? It is puzzling that Schoen drafted JMS knowing this.
Pretty decent chances we see every one of these this year except the last one.
+1
At times?? It’s been nonstop for 6 months. I truly wish we could have this shit in one clipped thread.
One more chance? Remind me, is this year 6 or year 7 or his scholarship and 'one more chances?'
I advise you to copy your post because I would hate to see you have to retype all of that just to add another to the list.
You also might want to research ancestry of the Daniel Jones tree. There might be another QB out there that is a distant relative that you can start making lists on them too.
