I agree. I just think it's fair to be on the table.
I still say Milton fits the profile.
Possibly the best thing about not having a 7th.. being able to work on identifying potential UDFAs a round early..
They added a bunch of pieces to the trenches in FA and trades. It should be no surprise they needed to add to the secondary and WR position in the draft. But that won’t stop you from whining about the picks and jumping to “They clearly want to play basketball on grass” stupid ass comments. Should they have ignored these positions?
Exactly what I was going to post. Offense needs a boost early on today.
Get a TE and RB for this roster. Still some nice talent on board at both positions. Wouldn't even mind a trade up to get both right here in Round 4...quality over quantity.
I want Estime or Wright. Theo Johnson if they are gone.
Quote:
I’ve seen him play since the 5 grade, but does he fit our system? Or any system? He’s a power back, when most teams use the pass catching elusive backs these days. I think it would be great to get him. He’s a local kid who played at St Joes Regional and plays 100%. I feel Dabol and Kafka want a dual threat guy. Just my 2 cents.
I want Estime or Wright. Theo Johnson if they are gone.
I can't get excited about Estime. Not explosive at all
. He's a guy who takes a lot of time to get to the line and gets run down from behind. He needs an offensive line that doesn't allow penetration. Name the last running back who ran 4.7 who had a good NFL career.
Is he even an improvement over Brightwell? Get the guy who can break a big play now (Wright please) and then the complimentary guy next year.
Spencer Rattler, QB South Carolina
Tejhaun Palmer, WR UAB
Audric Estime, RB Notre Dame (LOCAL)
Theo Johnson, TE Penn St (LOCAL)
Giovanni Manu, OT Univ of British Columbia
Khristian Boyd, DT Northern Iowa
Pheldarius Payne, DT Virginia Tech
Tyrice Knight, LB UTEP
Chau Smith-Wade, CB Washington St
Evan Williams, DB Oregon
Chigozie Anusiem, CB Colorado St
Cam Hart, CB Notre Dame
Jayden Hicks, S Washington St
Thanks very much for posting this … I was wondering the same but too lazy to do the work.
Should they decided to draft one today, keep an eye on Beaux Limmer of Arkansas. He has proven he can play both guard and center, and his Razorback Pro Day workout was done by Giants new OL coach Carmen Bricillo. Clearly there was interest.
Doesn't fit the track team mold though.
Not a Brock Purdy fan I presume?
2) RB Jaylen Wright - Tennessee
3) TE Cade Stover - Ohio State
4) DL Brandon Dorlus - Oregon
5) RB Ray Davis - Kentucky
6) ILB Cedric Gray - UNC
7) EDGE Austin Booker - Kansas
I want Sanders or Wright in Round 4. Give me Sanders or Wright in Round 4!!!!
+1 Sanders or Wright for me too. Sanders would add something we don't have, can't believe he is still there. Wasn't he supposed to go in Rd 2?
TE - Stover
WR - Franklin
Get your RB in Rd 5
He is fast and athletic. 4.34 forty
He is long 6'-2" with 32 3/8 " arms.
He is only 188 lbs but he has the frame to put on weight.
He is stiff for corner and may not be able to play safety.
But he is a great athlete and two year starter at Miss. State

Happy to do it.
Interesting idea, but Schoen has already said he isn't trading Slayton. I'm also not sure what we could get for Slayton. Maybe a sixth. I assume most teams would rather draft a cheaper WR like Franklin today than trade for Slayton. Of course, a good argument can be made to take Franklin anyway, especially since Slayton is a FA after this year.
I would prefer an edge like Mohamed Kamara at #107. He's an undersized tweener, but had tremendous production as an edge. We also have nobody behind Burns and KT except Ojulari, who can't stay on the field, is also a FA in 2025, and like Slayton likely won't be here next year.

Y28, do you have a preference for RB?
:)

This... give me Wright and Johnson and i'll be ecstatic
2. Assuming health (big assumption), Lock is a downgrade from Taylor.
Unless the Giants like DeVito which I don't know, there needs to be something done here imo. They visited with Rattler, I'd take him if he was available in the 4th.
I actually like Lock better than Tyrod, I may like Lock better than DJ (at worst he is the same).

I think Lock is going to impress us in camp and preseason...

and trade Slayton. Some good RB value to be had.

It's less about Slayton and more about building a core. He'll be gone soon either way, or sitting on the bench, if the build goes to plan.
