So are they experts some maybe but most have simply learned the art of regurgitating someone else's efforts. And their opinions, they're just opinions.

I find it a bit amusing that the big media companies are trying to compete/take out their "mom-and-pop" competition on YouTube. I get what you are saying, but some of the small guy content is just as good if not better.

Disagree entirely. A lot of the content producers breakdown film at such a higher level than anything you’d get before. The main journalists don’t really have much respect for the knowledge base of the fans and really serve up stuff for the lowest informed fan. Big blue banter and Talkin Giants are GREAT

Finding quality YouTube creator content for analysis just takes a little weeding through the nonsense. It's pretty easy to figure out who knows WTF they're talking about vs someone with a big personality. And you're not finding mainstream sources breaking film down like Big Blue Banter does for an hour on one guy. The burden has always been on the consumer to be intelligent in their choices. Some do. Others fail miserably.
Perfect fits for Bowen's defense. Smart, physical, aggressive, high-character guys. Secondary just got transformed in one day.
Was the secondary ‘transformed’ or ‘enhanced’ ??? I think the young nucleus of Banks, Hawkins, McCloud, Flott, Pinnock, Belton and Owens showed pretty good potential and these 2 guys are going to make it even better. The new DC now has a lot of tools.
I love both players. But from a team building perspective I’m just going to point this out. A record number of QBs went in round 1. We didn’t take one. A record number of olinemen went in the first 3 rounds and we didn’t take one.
Are the giants building this team the right way? Would they have been better off trading down from 6? Accumulate more picks. Fix the o-line for good and still add to the defense and then go WR next year?
Right now we have no QB and we have an at best below average OL. Runyan split snaps last year. JMS was below average. Neal has sucked ass since coming into the league. Our main backup is Stinnie who is not good. This OL still needs work. They could have legit traded down and got an OT and OG this year and really solidified this unit. I’d at least feel better if they took Christian Haynes in rd 3.
I feel like this year they are rearranging chairs on the deck of the titanic.

We put untold resources already into the line, and the worst thing we can do is reach for a QB (why we are in this current hell). No, the objective here is to make the roster better, faster, younger, cheaper. Joe tried to get his QB, he couldn't, but did not panic, did not reach.

There is some measure of belief you have to have.
Because JMS, a rookie, didn't have a great season, does that mean he can not improve? The biggest jump in development a player can make is between year 1 and year 2.
No manner of distrust in Daniel Jones is going to make JJ McCarthy a guaranteed franchise QB. He might be. The head coach, who knows QBs, didn't think so.
CBS Sports.com -- Washington Commanders Day 2 Winner
Obviously the highlight of this draft class will be Jayden Daniels, but if the Commanders return to prominence earlier than expected under Dan Quinn, we can probably point to the second day of the draft. Defensive tackle Johnny Newton from Illinois was a steal at No. 36 and only fortifies a strength for this team. Michigan DB Mike Sainristil gives them much needed help at nickleback. Kansas State tight end Ben Sinnott might unseat Zach Ertz and TCU offensive lineman Brandon Coleman gives them a quality pick at a position of need. Quinn's drafts were underrated when he was in Atlanta and he's off to a great start with Washington as well. A lot to like for the Commanders so far in 2024.
RE: I like what the Cowboys did on day 2 on the OL
Guyton and Beebe will help them stay on track. That's how you win with a mediocre QB invest in the OL. I do like Nubin but would have preferred Beebe.
Yeah, if they had gone with Nubin and Beebe I'd been thrilled. You always hear from the likes of Shaun O'Hara about the importance of continuity on the offensive line. They could have been set with JMS and Beebe on the interior for the next 5-7 years but most likely it will be another revolving door this season and everyone will blame Daniel Jones. And Beebe to the fuckin' Cowboys.. I'm still fumin..sorry

This is my main issue. Ok the QB value maybe and I say maybe didn’t align at 6. So rather than trade down we grab a wr. Fine.
Second round we grab nubin who I love. Fine.
Third round we grabs slot corner and pass on good interior OL. Not fine.
At some point they need to fix the line. And don’t tell me runyan fixes it. Ask a packers fan what they think of runyan and they will tell you average at best. We have Neal projected to start on this line. This line needs more quality help. And this continues to find reasons to either not draft them or draft shitty ones and not be able to move off them. Beebee and Haynes were sitting right there. You win in the trenches. And in this draft, the best OL draft in many years, they found reasons not to fix it. I don’t think that’s a sound strategy
we see them actually play. Every year we talk about how good these picks can be( myself included) and more times than not we wind up being disappointed. I'm not participating in that process this year. Maybe they'll be good, maybe they'll be bad. You can sum up every draft pick for every team that way this time of year.

Transformed. We're playing an entire different defense and these guys fit that. Some people we have may not.
I love both players. But from a team building perspective I’m just going to point this out. A record number of QBs went in round 1. We didn’t take one. A record number of olinemen went in the first 3 rounds and we didn’t take one.

I agree up to a point. The opposing viewpoint is when everyone else is taking the CBs, we have a chance to take a top pick at other positions, like safety. I just hope we're making good choices that pan out bigtime in the future.

This is a bad team that is addressing needs with best available talent in their opinion.
They signed FIVE offensive linemen in free agency and 14 total veteran free agents (and they are not done).
The took the #1 or #2 WR in the entire draft.
The took their #1 safety in the draft.
The took a CB that can play both nickel and outside corner who could have been taken at #47 with no one complaining (the "experts" raved about him yesterday).
But I think that the Giants might have only one or two above average position groups on their entire roster and the worst 2-3 year outlook of any team in the division. It feels like we are waiting to enter a rebuild, rather than progressing through a rebuild, but nothing short of a new QB could've changed that feeling for me since our starting QB is getting cut next year barring a miraculous improvement. And I don't blame the Giants for not getting the Maye tradeup done -- it sounds like they pushed themselves to make a very aggressive offer. The bill is just coming due on years of bad decisions before this offseason.

Correct. And unless Jones has a miracle turnaround, that feeling doesn't go away at QB until they cut ties.
