Will Shipley RB Clemson

I know he's a big name, however, adds instant speed & elusiveness to this offense

I absolutely love how he catches the ball out of the back-field and can turn the corner

Definitely not an every down back, also, not just a gadget player either

10 - 15 touches per game

Any thoughts on this?

huge fan. He's not an every down back in the NFL but he can block, catch and turn on the jets. But when watching him he never stuck out to me as a future NFL star.

Lots of lists have him as a top 100 talent though.

I loved Shipley after his Sophomore year. He was banged up last year and he became the second option out of the backfield. He does seem like a back Daboll would like. Good hands, can run all the routes and does run between the tackles. Size and injuries are an issue. Real smart kid. 4.0 student and graduated early.

All this talk about needing RB…
Is nobody confident in Singletary, Gray, Brightwell and Miller? Miller clocked a 4.27 40 AND is a power runner AND elusive, can catch the ball. Might take a bit to develop in the pros (or not) but in the meantime, Motor is a damn fine back!

Not opposed to adding another back but I’d rather see us get a good 2-way TE like Cade Stover or Ja’Tavion Sanders.

Ship appears to be a leader, plays with heart, is fast and has good hands. The bonus which might make him a target: he can return kicks. He had bad fumbling issues last fall and was playing injured more or less the whole year. Good luck to him!!

for sure. I’d like him but there are a lot of RBs left that I think are close in talent to him. I wonder if they wait until round 5 for a RB and take whoever is left. Maybe he’ll last.
