Take a shot with Spencer Rattler?

JerrysKids : 4/27/2024 10:03 am
Intriguing player, very productive player, has all the things you look for in QB skills. Not going to be a superstar but could be a very solid NFL Qb and a insurance policy to DJ. Discuss.
Rather take a shot with Milton from Tenn

At least you know he has NFL athletic talent. If he ever gets his act together he could be a diamond in the rough, if not oh well.

I like Milton's size and arm better. Whether he has it upstairs?
Can't waste picks...

This team is talent deficient.
I’d be OK with it,

I’m not a huge fan, but I’d prefer Rattler over Milton. Milton might have better arm strength, but Rattler has better arm talent. He’s a decent athlete, and outside of Legette, had little talent around him at SC.

Another QB in the quarterbacks room

QB would not be a waste, Danny Dimes, Cutlets, and Lock is not a good looking situation for the most important position. I like Danny but his injuries and consistency are a issue. Rattler can play.
No. No. No.
Roto_Wizard : 4/27/2024 10:38 am : link
The team feels confident in our quarterback room. We know that, because otherwise they would have drafted McCarthy. Lock and the Paisan are competent backups.

Don’t waste picks.
I'd
AcidTest : 4/27/2024 10:39 am : link
probably pass because we have other needs like edge rusher that are more important. I also don't see Rattler as the future franchise QB of the Giants. I nonetheless wouldn't be stunned if they took him, especially since they had a top 30 visit with him. But I think he will come off the board before #107. He's a QB. Someone will take a chance now that we're here on day three. Pratt as well.

Are you aware of the QB situation? It's arguably the worst of the NFL. This is such an archaic way of thinking.
Why try to improve the QB room

When we can draft the next Elerson Smith?
I’d rather wait until the 5th
carousel : 4/27/2024 10:49 am : link
But it wouldn’t be a bad pick.

Or Russell Wilson. Dak Prescott. Brock Purdy. You either try or you don't. The Giants haven't tried.
or when can we draft...
Mike in St. Louis : 4/27/2024 11:15 am : link
the next Davis Webb or Kyle Lauletta?
Jordan Travis instead
5BowlsSoon : 4/27/2024 11:22 am : link
Do you guys not watch FSU games?

Where is bw in dc or Go Terps when you need them?
No.
CV36 : 4/27/2024 11:24 am : link
I don’t want Rattler. Jordan Travis as an UDFA would be ideal. Milton ok as well.
Milton or Travis
RasputinPrime : 4/27/2024 11:27 am : link
why not? I want to win this season or have fun thinking it might be in the cards.

I’m with you on Milton
One of these developmental QBs should be a Giant
Darwinian : 4/27/2024 11:50 am : link
.
I don’t think the same guys who developed Josh Allen
81_Great_Dane : 4/27/2024 11:50 am : link
will be very interested in Rattler. He’s too small for them.

But the Giants are willing to invest time and effort into developing QBs. De Vito, case in point. So we may see a QB drafted late or signed as a UDFA, if only to create competition.
i love the argument
BleedBlue : 4/27/2024 11:57 am : link
of talent deficient.

first, its false.

second, you think we getting starters today? its not likely... so might as well take shots on the most important positions (where we are weak).

today lets get a RB to work with singeltary, a TE to work with bellinger, and a QB who maybe could develop

I like this plan. But do any of the QBs left have significantly more upside than DeVito ?
Historically, if you don't take a QB in round 1 or round 2
BH28 : 4/27/2024 12:02 pm : link
There is no point in wasting a pick on a day 3 QB. Yes I know Brady and Purdy exist. Good luck targeting that once every 20 yr prospect. Rattler is not that guy.
In what world was he ‘very productive’?
bwitz : 4/27/2024 12:14 pm : link
He’s just isn’t good, at all. His best years were in HS and, there’s a reason there’s been no word ever said about why he missed time there.

Wow Manu in 4th.

Could be a steal!
