It's more than a business. There's a very human side to it and that's why you take stuff like that into consideration when contemplating trades, paycuts, releases, playing time, and other assorted decisions that affect the locker room culture.

These are young men getting these calls, and their whole lives are being affected with each call. I love the way the Giants care enough about their prospective players that they tape the reactions.

I noticed an awkward vibe with Mara and Schoen/Daboll in the war room. Maybe there's something to the story that Mara didn't ok their trade attempts for Maye. Might have been the best thing he did for the franchise ever though because I feel like Maye is never going to live up to his draft position.
