everyone is happy with their draft because everyone gets better over draft weekend because everyone adds talent. chart below showing by consensus rankings how everyone did - but here are some of the teams who look like they got better by a lot to me:
ARI - had a ton of picks so they should have gotten better but MHJ, Robinson, Belton, Benson feel like a real strong contender for the 4 straight starters/co-starters like Detroit got last year. 3 at premium positions too.
BUF - for a team that was pretty down the order i think they got a few guys who will help them right away, Coleman and Bishop will replace veterans they lost. Ray Davis is a nice compliment to Cook. feels like a team trying to get more physical.
DET - didn't have a lot of picks but used the ones they had well. Arnold and Rakestraw should help their secondary. Manu and Vaki are upside picks. Wingo and Mahogany were projected to go much higher than they went, if healthy they should help in their trenches.
LAC - very harbough class. OT1, McConkey, Colson, grabs a DL from bama, Cam Hart is a nice pick. Rice and a Michigan WR late. that roster has a lot of holes so i expect their class close to tops in the league in snaps.
LAR - have to replace Donald and trying hard with Verse/Fiske. Corum is a nice player who has a lot of similarities with Kyren. Kam Kichens has ball skills if he can clean up some misreads/missed tackles.
PIT - last one that stood out to me was Pitt and was maybe my favorite considering they didnt have a ton of picks. 2 offensive lineman early then the 2 wilsons making them another contender for "first 4 picks are starters right away". Roman Wilson was really good on JJM scramble drills so it's easy to see him fitting with Russ like Tyler Lockett. Payton Wilson if healthy is a good LB and nobody is better developing LBs (and day 2 wrs) than Pitt. They added Queen too so talk about an infusion of speed at the ILB level. Their OL now has a lot of high picks on it. If they can get Russ right i think they are a sneaky AFC team.
Philly ranks well every year but it feels a bit like they are very into picking whoever the biggest 'name brand' consensus fallers are. There are worse strategies i suppose.
Green Bay had a lot of picks and really focused on the trenches on both sides. And their secondary picks looks good on paper.
If Latu and Mitchell are right, the Colts may have nailed two studs on each side of the ball.
In his maiden voyage with LAC, I think Harbaugh hit at least a triple with Alt, McConkey, Colson, Vidal, Rice, Hart.
Rams were awesome, especially their first three picks.
If Wilson is healthy, and their first three picks work, Pittsburgh killed it.
Adam Peters looks like he crushed it on paper, too.
And I am always fond of B'more.
Overall, I think I'm giving Harbaugh the crown for best draft...
They will win the division
Plus this division wiill be competitive for years

Morgan. Cooper and Bullard are all day one starters
Detroit should be the favorite to represent the conference in the Super Bowl, but both Green Bay and Minnesota should make them work for it. Chicago is still two years away, but they’ll be competitive soon.
Give me a break. They're going to be good soon.

Lucked out. That trade last year landed them a potential elite QB. It could have easily had them drafting at our spot or worse if they drafted Stroud over Young.
Could wind up an all time great trade for Chicago, and a total disaster for Carolina.
he also has graphics breaking down the individual picks so you can see DET was boosted by mohogany and wingo falling.
it's impressive how pitt was able to gain value with all their highest picks.
there's more at the links, in his methodology the giants didnt have any reaches or extreme values, basically took players exactly where they were supposed to go.

i think carolina gave up more than that, but ill tell you this, i think id still take bryce young over caleb personally. so if it were just DJM and Caleb for Bryce, I'd do that.

So essentially Carolina traded DJ Moore and what wound up the first overall pick (Caleb Williams) for Bryce Young.

yes im serious, caleb is more physically talented but if he played in the situation carolina had last year im not sure he would have won 1 game. he would have set a new turnover record.
Whether or not it works out will be fascinating to watch.

Lol.. ok.. he played in that situation this year at USC. He doesn't throw interceptions, even when pressured. Make sure you come back here and issue a mea culpa when Williams is a slam dunk top-8 QB.
Thought Dallas had a crappy draft with the exception of Beebe, but I sure hope Guyton starts this year, our DE's will licking their chops.

guess you skipped the nd game? if you think its possible for any p12 d to compare to the nfl week in week out you are mistaken. he is very lucky he's landed in what should be the best situation for a rookie qb. dont think any team has 3 better wr + te than chi now.
