Malik Nabers, Tyler Nubin, Dru Phillips - listening to all three of these guys at their pressers and interviews, seems to me that Schoen and Daboll have really doubled down on the competitiveness and “fiery” type guys.
Nubin and Phillips both spoke about their willingness to tackle and get dirty and that it means something to them. Talked about leadership and putting in the work. Nubin played through a torn MCL.
Nabers said he believes it’s his competitiveness and dog like mentality and will to beat his man and almost embarrass his guy that sets him apart from other players. Nabers played through a shoulder injury cause he wanted to be out there.
Bottom line is it appears the regime has valued toughness and competitiveness perhaps over need type picks along the OL or QB.
to become a lot of ours favorite player.
I hope you get the correct spelling.

Still.
I hope we found guys who can play and actually be great on the field for a change. I'll worry about the feel-good stuff later.

This! ^^^ Exactly, you need to start with TALENT + tough, smart, dependable.
What good are the intangibles if you’re getting beat by the more talented player across the line from you.
Prioritizing intangibles over talent will keep us in the basement of the NFC East and eventually cost Schoen his job.

Of course the players need to be talented...

He is nothing like Hill, but he’s a lot like Nicks, which I’d happily sign up for at #6.
Other than injuries, that is the number one trait that seperates the guys who bust/underperform and the guys who outperform.
Reese tried that too many, many ears ago. A bunch of guys who live and breath the game, and leaders. problem was, none of them were anywhere near the athletes we picked up this weekend.
