for those that care, this is another big week for the program. Hurley isn’t letting up, we now have the best incoming freshman class in the country after McNeely de-commits from Indiana and chooses UConn. Now Koby Brea is visiting and is apparently choosing between UConn and Kentucky. Brea shot an absurd 50% from 3 last year at Dayton.

If they land Brea they may actually get better at 3. The front court won’t be as good but the perimeter can still be top tier.

Does UConn have the best incoming freshman class over Duke? Not being a jerk I like UConn. Brea is a big get and so far Dan is 2/2 when these kids have come to campus since the chip earlier this month. Also thought it was between UConn and Duke for him?

incoming freshman only or with transfers. You are right with Duke for the freshman, I probably should have phrased it better to include transfers.

I missed your last sentence, it was but apparently he cancelled his Duke trip this week, I read that as a no go on Duke. Did see a Kentucky rumor but that could be BS.

He’s going to be asked to play relentless defense and facilitate. And if he brings 40% from 3 with him as well he will get plenty of PT. I wonder if this means no Brea?

Don’t see brea as a starter. So I think he’s still definitely a possibility. More of 6th man player for uconn

having watched them dismantle my team each of the past two seasons. Mahaney just seems like an odd fit. He always struck me as very much a product of St Mary’s system. He’s not particularly athletic or long. He shot terribly this season. Like I said, I guess we’ll see.

Very very pumped for this. We now have our starting PG with Mahaney as the backup. Man, if somehow Karaban comes back even the thought of 3 peering becomes fun to talk about.
