Not necessarily with how the Giants perform, but every week, there are going to be endless comparisons and what ifs. I know this is generally an every year thing, especially on BBI, but 2024 should be something special.

If the line performs well and our pass rush becomes dominant then I don't see why it can't be like 2022. Who knows. It's typically the opposite of what we all expect.

Fine by me….I have plenty of trust in these guys ….I know they are smart in what they do….how would we have made it to the playoffs in year one without some smarts? They also proved themselves in Buffalo…but don’t forget both GM and HC are on the job training too seeing this was the first year for both of them. I’m okay to watch them also grow through making mistakes.

I do see how anyone can thing that when it clearly stated that Joe and Dabs can make the call how they see fit and they tried to trade up with earnest for Maye. As stated in other threads previously getting a rookie QB cools both the seat for the coach and GM in the short term. Joe felt Jones was better than the 3 QBs tier 2 QBs.

The qb situation is figured out, Jones is a top tier qb who now has better players around him and will win 10 games! The defense has gotten a better so Jones won't have to be playing from 2 td's behind and having to throw on every down!

I feel like it's all on Jones whom is Mara's boy. If we fail, it will fall squarely on Mr. Jones' shoulders.
Penix won't play this year, Nix is an ideal fit for Payton and JJM has a top notch offense. So, it's not fair to compare imo. It will hurt as a fan, but Mara won't see it that way. And if the season is terrible it will be because Jones can't cut it. Mara will he forced to accept that and he can't scapegoat anyone, it would be stupid to do so. Give the roster, gm, and coach a chance with a top qb in the first round if that's how it goes down.

This is very young team that had a pretty decent offseason.
