The Giants will have very little competition

Way too early to say this. Injuries, retirements, and poor play can have teams pivot quickly.

When there are QBs available

I know Giants might not think so, but this is a QB league. The most important position in all of sports.. there will be plenty of teams looking to draft Qbs

The competition will definitely be thin and there's a good chance we will be picking ahead of the pack.

There will likely be 5-8 teams looking for a QB:


1.) Giants
2.) Raiders
3.) Dallas (if they can’t get Dak deal worked out)
4.) Rams (Stafford is getting up there)
5.) Pittsburgh (Wilson is old, Fields may be returning kicks?)
6.) Titans (if Levis doesn’t play well this year)
7.) Saints (Carr is old, no obvious heir apparent)
8.) Seattle

It is based on flawed logic. There are any number of teams that will be or could be in the QB market.

Most teams are more proactive towards the position, not reactive like NYG. I could see a team like the Eagles being in the QB market, they always have a pipeline. The Jets will be in the QB market. The Steelers. The Cardinals. If Bryce Young doesn't show anything, the Panthers could be.

There will be a ton of competition.

These teams could possibly need a QB next year:

Jets - this very well could be Aaron Rodgers last season

Miami - Tua is one concussion away from retirement. Also Miami has not given him an extension which says a lot about their faith in him long term.

Pittsburgh - They will almost certainly take a QB next year with Fields and Russell Wilson on 1 year deals. They are already considering using Fields as a return man.

Tennessee - Will Levis will be the starter but he is unproven and could very well fail causing them to focus on his replacement in the draft.

Arizona - If they struggle again and Murray underwhelms or misses significant time I could easily see them looking for a new starting QB in the draft.

It's a good point and I've seen it raised by pundits who don't cover the Giants. They have said the Giants and Raiders are the two main teams in the market for a QB next offseason.

Combine that with how rare elite players are at the position, and, I think it is fair to say there will always be competition when looking for a QB

A lot can change in a year. Chicago and New England were not on the list of quarterback hungry teams 12 months ago.

Yeah, I estimate there will be 3-4 1st rounders, not a bad year like the Pickett class.

Here's my list of names to follow:

Shedeur Sanders, Quinn Ewers, Carson Beck, Cam Ward, Will Howard, Jalen Milroe, Jaxson Dart, Riley Leonard and Drew Allar (I like the first 6 more than the last 2). I'd bet the first rounders Will emerge from this list. Jaxson Dart is my sleeper for QB1.

Think their schedule will not be as hard and have a more healthy season. Maybe a 8-9 season? To trade up they will need to include 2026 for sure.

Schedule looks every bit as challenging. We play the afc north. Only easy games look like Carolina and Washington (I bet we don't win both vs Washington this year either).

Detroit to the list of possible teams. There are rumblings that Goff wants more than what the Lions want to pay.

Lions, if they stay healthy should finish out of reach of a top QB in the draft though. Or if they were to make the SB it would be hard to not resign Goff. They also have Herdon, who could develop?

I could see that, I see the Raiders being sneaky good this year. I could see them eeking their way into the playoffs. I loved their draft and they got Christian Wilkins plus AP gets the very most out of all his players and O'Connell was looking good to finish the year.

Beck? No, I don't think so.

Things could change after next college season and we’ll see guys rising and falling as usual. I believe the QBs coming out next year to have talent, but we have to wait and see, like every year.
