OBJ, how many lives does this cat have ? ...

Manny in CA : 5/4/2024 11:15 pm

OBJ is on his 4th team, if he has nine lives, he has five teams left.

On Super Bowl Sunday morning, I always enjoy watching the "Kittie Bowl", the participants are all baby kittens. tossing around spools of thread. One year, a little one dominated play, scoring three "touchdowns". His name - Odel Beckham Jr.

Five teams actually

Giants, Browns, Rams, Ravens, and now Dolphins
I love that he still plays

was a big fan when he was here too.
Thank you, Pete

Guess he's down to four !

Never forget Chris Collingsworth - that's tha, that's tha best catch I've ever seen - the one hander at the goal-line, against the Cowpukes. Thanks, Odel for great memories.
What's the point of this thread?

It's not 9' lives. IT's 5 teams, but that's also because he still has talent enough to be intriguing for a team that needs a WR. He may, not be a WR1 any longer, but he does have talent, especially in the right situation.
why the fuck would any giants fan hate obj?

he was the only reason this team was watchable for a few years.

Dude was a great player for us, and he was on his way to being Super Bowl MVP in 2021.

Still was a good player last year averaging over 16 YPC even as the Ravens's third option.
He's a complete ass

Anyone watch the video of him refusing to get off the airplane?

so because he ran deeper routes and averaged 16 YPC that means he was a good player for the Ravens.

In the end, OUR opinion does not matter. All you need to know is the Ravens did not pay to keep him. If he was that good for them, he would still be on the team. Same with every other team he was with.

If he was that good for the Rams, they would have held onto him while he nursed his injury.

In the end, he torched his own career. He complained about the Giants who paid him a ransom and then complained about the Browns, etc etc.

If it doesn't involve one of the um-teenth ways Daniel Jones sucks, then there's no point at all.

I think his injuries had more to do with that.

Because he embarassed the franchise on multiple occasions and disappeared in his playoff game here?
He was not welcome to return to the Ravens
ij_reilly : 5/5/2024 8:42 am : link
He wouldn’t practice. On the sideline during games, he would complain about not playing and not getting the ball. Nobody on the team associated with him.

First hand account from a Ravens player, a starter.

Nobody in Baltimore is going to miss him.
He averaged 16 yards per on 35 receptions

last season.

He's still productive enough to be a 3rd or 4th option
he's cool

as long as he stays out of the NFC East

Miami doesn't use a lot of 3 WR sets. So in all likelihood he might get 30ish targets.
Idsay hes a covert narcissist

Only because most people are dumb enough to not be able to see it. Including Giants fans. Its an oxymoron to say you like Eli And Odell. Thats an impossibility.

The Giants have done more to embarrass themselves the last decade than Odell did.
If only he won a wild card game he’d

He had cared and showed the proper preparation and maturity, mayne they would have. The QB that day did show up. Odell did not. Effort goes a long way.
OBJ was a great player whose first three seasons
Reese's Pieces : 5/7/2024 6:39 am : link
were terrific. They even made the playoffs in his third season, helped along by a fluke top 10 defense that benefited from a stellar selection of defensive free agents.

But Beckham played only four games in his fourth season and 12 in his final season with the Giants. That last season the Giants had their franchise quarterback in Eli. They had an elite receiver in Beckham and rookie running back looking all-world. But the record is still 5–11. Eli was sacked 47 times. The only year he was sacked 40 or more times.

Beckham in his seventh, eighth and ninth seasons, played 8, 6, and 7 games. Elite skill players do not have very long careers at the top of their game.
