You sure about that? He certainly didn't appreciate Jeff Ross' joke kraft joke - ( New Window )
One tiny little line doesn’t disprove that he handled getting eviscerated pretty damn well. This was way more cut throat than the Comedy Central roasts too.
Multiple times. It was lovely. Peyton also got in an Eli jab.
This was DEFINITELY a MUCH HARDER roast than CC. Felt like the premier of a new Roast series, the way some of the folks were talking (Kevin Hart mentioning doing it again, people thanking Jeff Ross)…and I thought the roasters had some great material on the whole, where some of the CC ones can stick in some stinkers. Not sure I’ve ever seen a roast that well attended, and most of the people did a good job - impressive.
I thought the distinction between the football side and the comedians was interesting. Not sure if Kevin Hart intentionally misstated drained for deflated, but there were certainly some jokes iykyk, and some people didn’t know. Got a little awkward. His teammates didn’t like some of the stuff being said, which was actually kind of cool to see - not referring to the Kraft joke at the beginning.
Everyone firing at Gronk pretending he’s an idiot is a schmuck - def one of the smarter guys on the stage. Good shtick, but he’s a shark. That said, I thought, Nikki Glaser CRUSHED it, and the house came down with the, “Me know it’s not real money,” line.
Brady handled the shots well, he most certainly prepared for the onslaught in advance, and he fired back pretty fucking hard. Overall a very good sport.
Thought Belichick there was awesome. I liked how Peyton said his bit and just left - Tom was left with Peyton jokes but no Peyton. And how Belichick flew out of his seat to say hello to Peyton before he left? That was class.
Poor Julian Edelman took it on the chin a few times, and not just from the social festivities. He’s the only teammate who would show up to Brady’s birthday party (not that he’d be invited).
A very interesting event, it was funny as heck, and great way to end the day after a big Rangers win.
(And did he admit to the cheating at the end? It sure sounded like it…)
Yeah, but it was funny, too.

Having an arena of people, seen by millions , yelling out "Tom Brady is Eli Manning's bitch. Seems like a great happenstance.
