got real playing time he played really well. He was very good in that game 4 win at Philly. I expect him to play well. He's not Mitch, but he does things Mitch doesn't do. They can basically switch everything with him on the floor.
He'll be back. He's got two more years and $27M on the contract and no other team is going to want to take on that obligation for a guy who can't stay healthy.

I don’t agree with this. That’s not a big contract, turns into an expiring after next year, and teams will usually take chances to get talented defensive bigs.
That said, I’m also not sure the Knicks will want to trade him unless it’s in the right deal. If they resign iHart they may see if a reduced workload for Mitch (say 20 mpg) helps keep him healthier.
It sucks to lose Mitch, but with the way the east is shaping up this
year the team is probably better off with Precious getting those minutes. This forces Thibs to make a move he probably wouldn’t have done otherwise. As we saw in game 1, having Mitch chase Turner out to the 3 pt line wasn’t going to be a good look for NY. If they make it through this series, you’d see the same issues with Boston and Porzingis.
What will be interesting is to see who slides into the rotation. Precious was the, albeit barely used, 8th guy. Will we see Thibs dust off Burks for a few minutes tonight?

I think we'll see Precious get more minutes before Burks comes back... freezing cold from the bench with a shoulder that's not 100%
The only way Burks gets in is if we lose DDV or Hart, IMO
I predicted Knicks in six before last night & sticking with that. But I think Cs are winning the East. And I think Wolves are going to win it all.
But in this series Precious is probably a better weapon defensively
Celtics would have probably played Mitch off the floor unfortunately. He historically has had a ton of trouble guarding Porzingis

Given the matchup but any hope of giving the Celtics a hard time (however slim that possibility was) is probably out the window

Prob true. I’m not worrying about what if, we have our hands full enough with the Pacers
Yup, fuck him
Bummer for Mitch, much respect for how he came back and battled through as long as he could in the playoffs
Now it's just been a decimation of that depth.
One positive way to look at it is that the depth is what has now saved them.
To think that Hart, Hartenstein, and Donte were all bench guys at the beginning of the year is crazy...
I just looked at lineups for the year too and none of them are in the most played Knicks lineup by minutes (Brunson, Grimes, RJ, Julius, Mitch)
