My guess is Daboll likes the inside/out alignment versatility because that is what they plan to do with Nabers - so a solid offset. Still not sure I would take Robinson over Hodgins though.

Hey Sy!
I can understand why you would say that. However, remember, his last BIG season came with Trubisky and Foles, 2020. Then Andy Dalton/Rookie Justin Fields 2021 that was a down year for him obviously. Then 2022 he gets picked up by the Rams they give him the big contract and Stanford gets injured and there went that season for them. 2023 he ends up with Pickett/Rudolph; need I say more. I respect everyone’s opinion on this signing; I’m just not ready to say this guy is done. The skill set is still there he needs better QB play in my opinion.

to giants fans, his steelers stats are severely misleading. matt canada absolutely 100% wasted him & it is NOT an accurate representation of his abilities.
he was reliable when actually used. problem is more than 60% of his routes were empty running routes, not even blocking.
and that wasn't going so hot before he got hurt. 10 starts, 52 targets, 339 yards, 10 ypc, 3 tds. he averaged 34 ypg and had a 63.5% catch rate.
pittsburgh offense was trash but at 30 years old robinson hasnt been a good player in 4 years, and he tore an acl. thats why he's available at the minimum. he is this year's shepard/beasley though obviously a different type of player.
but they should be looking into a getting a veteran CB instead.
Since this is a veteran salary minimum contract, it doesn't really have to be "instead" of any other move. It essentially will have zero cap impact. All it means is someone else at the bottom of the 90 is getting early walking papers.

would the Giants cut Slayton? Because he's holding out?
Yikes.
Every player's action (negotiation tactic or social media vague posting) has an equal and opposite BBI reaction, third rule of posting

He's Kenny Golladay with a better attitude. Low risk and possible red zone target.
Kenny Golladay got $72M over four years and a punitive cost to release him.
Allen Robinson will be a one-year VSB signing.
Are you really struggling to see a distinction beyond "better attitude"?
Are you really struggling with reading comprehension? I referenced the player. Not his contract. FYA 🙃
