and on time to them isn't what you think it is.

There is more interest in the NFL schedule release than MLB games, NHL playoffs, NBA playoffs and pretty much any other sport or entertainment news..

It would be impossible to release a full schedule prior to the end of the season, given that certain matchups are determined by where a team finishes in the standings. Then the NFL takes an enormous amount of time to make sure that it has compelling matchups available for prime time games. It's a pretty complicated process to maximize revenue.

This is the 2nd thread in less than 24 hours complaining about the NFL schedule process...

With Jones as the starting QB the Giants will have more losses than wins, they'll be in last place, and the 2024 season will yet another disaster. His supporters will find another deficiency on the roster that led to the losses, but they won't blame the true reason, or they'll blame the coaching staff (again).
I cannot wait until Jones is a former QB of the New York Football Giants. He'll wind up being a backup QB with a team with a legitimate QB, and he'll never be a starting QB again, he may even end up on a team's practice squad.
In the meantime we'll have to suffer through another lost season.

People really don't watch the videos the NFL has put out for the last 5-8 years about the process of the schedule, do they? They drip release games to stay in the news cycle, but they also don't finalize it until after the draft and in some cases until the day before release. They run through 100k versions and need to keep all of their network partners and teams happy. It's not a simple thing.

People complained about the Giants schedule around London a couple of years ago and then we found out that Daboll and Schoen asked to league to not have their bye the week after. Teams will get screwed every year because it's impossible to make everyone happy.

it matters to me for I make all my vacations plans based on the games. I travel from Florida to upward of 7 games but at least usually 3-4 and it helps me with reservations and planning... thats all
