for Leadership.
The Messier Leadership Award was created in 2006-2007 and Chris Chelios won the inaugural award. He was 110 (just kidding). Previous winners include Sidney Crosby, Jonathan Toews, Mats Sundin, Jarome Iginla, Zdeno Chara, Shea Weber, Patrice Bergeron, Anze Kopitar Steven Stamkos and more.
from the linked article:
Jacob Trouba won the Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award on Tuesday. The award is presented annually to the player who exemplifies great leadership qualities to his team, on and off the ice, and who plays a leading role in his community growing the game of hockey.
The New York Rangers captain has been a staple in the metropolitan area, including participating in the Rangers Youth Hockey Camp, during which he works with boys and girls between the ages of 6-12 with on-and-off ice training sessions..... |
...Trouba is also a finalist this season for the King Clancy Memorial Trophy, which is presented annually to the NHL player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution in his community. This is the second straight season Trouba has been the Rangers' nominee for the award.... |

I have no idea what you're talking about. I thought Anakim and Costy would be interested in this prestigious honor.
Those two remind of Frank Grimes the way they are triggered by Trouba. He is probably 75% of their NYR posts.
Lmao.. exactly what I thought. Love pjs take on the Rangers and his defense of Trouba. I love him as well. I think every fanbase needs a whipping boy, and unfortunately it's Trouba now for the Rangers.
#Rangersin6
I think they only lost three games all year where they carried a lead into the third before the other night.

well, it's so much easier to spew the same crap day after day than actually notice that the top 6 forwards took the night off in game 5
