I can't put into words how much I football love Carl Banks
as fan of the Giants since 1966. I think he was a Hall of Fame player. I appreciate that he is still part of the Giants organization. He will always be a Golden NY Giant for me.
That doesn't mean I always agree with him even though he has forgotten more about football today than I will ever know.
A sympathetic figure? He will make over 100 million dollars in the NFL. I saw a picture of Daniel Jones in the throwback uniform today and it immediately took away the usual unrealistic optimism I have at this time of year. I certainly don't wish Daniel Jones any harm. He seems like a good guy. I hope I never see him start another game for the Giants.
He is the face of losing during one of the worst periods of Giant's football in the Super Bowl era. He will be forever mentioned with Dave Brown as a 1st round QB bust who was drafted to follow a legendary NY Giants QB.

Some of these Giant fans focus way too much on blaming Jones for everything that's gone wrong with this team instead of understanding everything around the QB that impacts his ability to perform.
All that money he got probably included hazard pay to play behind these olines.
When the Giants are able to bring in a better option, they'll move on till then he is the starting QB for the Giants and I will root for him to lead this team to wins.
There is really no other option but to give Jones one more chance.
Let him earn a chance to continue with an improved offense or bench him if he struggles. Benching him or releasing him really isn’t an option this season.

For those complaining about Jones salary, how about what the Falcons are paying 35 year old KirK Cousins. Jones outplayed Cousins in that game more that the stats indicate, especially considering Cousins' decision to throw short of the sticks on 4th down to essentially end the game
